Hornqvist.....

Paul McCann says Hornqvist is listed as day to day. Is that listing before or after X-rays??

Probably before, they didn't get in until 4, I'd imagine he'd be evaluated late this morning.

I think we can still play, even without Horny. As much as he is an integral part of the team I think guys like Arnott will step it up in the playoffs and fill his role.

Arnott wouldn't do Hornqvist's job in front of the net if you promised him brand new hunting equipment and a free pass on not playing physical.

I don't know. Which player will be so effective in front of the net?

The only person i see built to do that who has the hands would be Ward, but I don't think he would completely change his game up. I'm also not sure he could take the beating. Tootoo could take the beating but he doesn't have the hands to finish the rebounds.

Something that I havent seen mentioned is Hornqvist continued his shift for a good 20-30 seconds after getting hit by the Weber shot. He was in front of the net several times after trying to deflect a puck and finished a check on someone as well. Hopefully Hornqvist is ok and Trotz was taking him out for a precaution.

Well he had X-rays which lead me to believe something is at least not normal. And I read on here that Terry said something in the post-game show that didn't sound encouraging.

Thanks... that is a positive. All I saw was the replay last night at the beginning of the third period because I was working.

no offense to terry, but if I'm not looking for funny hockey stories\anecdotes, he's not my number one source.

I actually read that Trotz didn't think\know if there had been any x-rays yet, and believed there hadn't been.

unless they had xray facilities at jobing.com arena i would guess he didnt have any until today. i cant see them delaying the teams flight back just to get films out there when it wasnt going to change anything

Its also weird how we have been on such a tear and Arny comes back and we lose...

I wonder what our record is with Arnott in lineup and without.

I would not be upset is him and Dumont were dealt, preferably keep Arny over JP.

I'd rather have JP than Arny if I had to choose one. I think JP shows a little more effort and I get the feeling he enjoys himself here more than Arnott does.

You mean the JP Dumont that was busted down to 4th line because he shows more effort?

according to Trotz on XM, Hornqvist's prognosis is good. He'll probably sit out Saturday's game, but should be set to go for game one

Yup, same guy.

I had to move away for a few months in January so I see probably half of the games now, and all of them before then. It just seems like he has given more effort in what I've seen of him this year. Maybe I'm wrong but I used to love JP, then did in fact realize he looked lazy last year, then this year changed my mind again. So I'm not a complete JP homer.
