What do people think of this second line? Do you think Latendresse's improvement, warrants him a permanent position on the 2nd line? Do you think this line should stick together even when Higgins returns? Do you like this as a second line?
Thoughts/comments/suggestions?
Me personally, I think this line is perfect, these 3 players see each other on the ice at all times, and with Latendresse working 2x harder then he has in his previous seasons. They create lots of room for each other. They use Latendresse's size to create space, but he also creates plays for himself.
I don't know if I'd put Higgins on this line now. Latendresse has created a lot of scoring chances, its just a matter of time before he starts scoring.
I'd see Higgins better perform with Lang and S.Kosti, even though his brother is out-indefinitly.

Huh..have you been living under a rock ? This is all we have been talking about since the beginning of the season.
There I changed it.
It wasn't supposed to be a question of his improvement (plus I don't spend my entire day on here, so I don't know what you people talk about on a daily basis).
They seem to be clicking well, Lats did not have his best game last night(as did 2/3 of the team) but he still brought a physical element. The way the line is producing you leave them intact for the time being. I think a good coach always keeps the Higgins option in the back of his mind.
I believe once everyone is healthy that Higgins will take the spot. Not at first but it will happen. As good as Latendresse has played he still can't keep up with Koivu and Tanguay all the time. Higgins on the other hand is built for speed and has a nose for the net. Tanguay and Koivu are playing great right now but I believe they can play even better and I think Latendresse is holding them back slightly. There are at least 4 plays that I can remember where Tanguay created a 2 on 1 or scoring chance with Latendresse but he was too slow to either finish the play or keep the play going.
With all that said, the improvement we've seen from Latendresse has been amazing. Playing on a line with Lang and SKost I think would give us a better balance.

He is now 5th in the league for hits and 6 just last night !!!

PS Komi is 1ST...
That's the good side of him, last night he made a few bad decisions with the puck but was still creative with it and finished his checks. If he keeps progressing, a 30-35 goal 60-70 point guy that runs people over is a possibility.
