Can one of you good rangers fans tell me how Rozsival has been this year? What's his roll on this team? What style of game does he play?

He's been horrible defensively and okay offensively. His role is to be an offensive defensman, and he plays a soft game on the defense side of the puck, and is quite good when he has the puck when he wants to.

If he runs Lundqvist either he'll get destroyed by a numerous number of Rangers including a gang of Orr, Voros, and Mara. or Turco will get run by Orr.

Not too mention Joel may take exception to that as well.

Has been this posted yet?

"In my effort to focus on the game at hand, I would prefer not to do a lot of interviews, so please accept this statement in lieu of a full-court press," it read. "I have no animosity toward anyone in (the Rangers) organization for not bringing me back; that is sometimes how things work out."

even if it meant leving 3.5 million dollars on the table? I can't blame Avery for going for the money. It may very well be his one & only chance at such a contract. He prolly has approx. 5 - 8 years left of playing time.

Avery is extremely talented. He always was. All the way back to juniors.

He's far from a 4th line player. At the bare minimum, he's an elite 3rd line player.

Sather offered him 3M a year. Not a far cry from the 3.8 or whatever he got from the Stars.

And if you're going to call me a "meathead loser", at least spell "you're" right. Do me that favor.

Though I don't disagree that Avery plays for himself and is a dirtbag. My real disagreement with you was that you had the audacity to call him a 4th line player. It's simply unfathomable for someone to think Avery is only a 4th liner and actually believe it (as you do). Quite shocking and disconcerting.
Jonathan, the "meathead loser" was not directed at you. It was directed at Sean Avery, who outside of your love affair, has that exact reputation with MANY NHL notables. I also stopped reading your post at "He's extremely talented". Don't let a good argument hinder your post count.

You clearly have never watched the guy in juniors and the NHL without a supreme bias. I always saw the guys talent. It's undeniable. As I said, I agree with you that he's a ***** and a piece of ****, but he's undeniably talented. I think you need to look past your bias towards him to see that.

I knew the guy would be a solid NHLer when he was in Detroit's system and was proving himself in pro hockey.

Most people who saw him in juniors thought he had the talent in him, also. He was just a tiny guy who couldn't control himself most nights.

But really, it's quite a bit of an insult on Avery to say he's a 4th liner. On the Islanders, he'd be on the top 2 lines, quite frankly.
