I thought he looked pretty good at the rookie camp at Traverse City. Wonder why Columbus gave up on him? It's not like the Jackets have a plethora of tough guys in the minors. Good pick up.

Very similar player to Justin Soryal. Didiomete had a pretty vicious TKO over a much bigger Gadzik in the Traverse City tourney.

Wolfpack just got a lot tougher. They went from having only Soryal and Byers to adding Sugden and Didiomete in a couple of weeks.

Low risk/moderate reward here.

seen him play a few times with Sarnia, he's a solid pick up. he's got decent hands and can throw them

This is what I posted in the Hartford thread:
Before that (playing with stamkos) he played with Marc Staal on the Wolves. This kid is awesome! He is tough as nails, not boogeyman tough but he will go at go time. He also can put up some points, which makes him all the better. He does have a hot head and has been suspended a few times. I am pumped he signed a two way contract with hartford. Would love to see a Staal, Didiomete reuinion.

As for the Carcillo type player, similar but Deeds is not a lumberjack. He does not attack others with his stick.

Looks to me like an intriguing pickup. I like tough players especially if they can play.

I don't think the Jackets "gave up on him". They were planning on offering an AHL contract, just not an NHL contract at this point.
