what it should be is the 71 jersey

check out

www.nhluniforms.com

It should be a tieup neck... no name plate... and a smaller CH...

but i don't see it.

I think it's just the fact that they are playing at home with the white jersey like they did back in those days. I sooo would have bought a new habs jersey with the laces.

Exactly. Would be interested in knowing if the NHL prohibits players from using jerseys without their name displayed these days.

I was contemplating making a thread on this.
Is there any difference? Like, at all?

No difference at all, and actually when they unveiled these in September, it was sort of odd that they mentioned it was the 1971 jersey. It was almost like they thought we were idiots or something. They had Begin modeling it back then.

When the Canadiens got these Edge jerseys, I actually thought at the time that they were retro looking because of the thickness of the white in the collars. If you look back at pictures from the 70s, you'll see the jersey sort of had that look. I'm actually happy with what reebok did with the Canadiens sweaters.

So it's just a marketing gimmick!?

When will I be able to buy the stripped one?

Its vintage because back in the 70s they wore white at home games, and not red. The jersey is the same. They announced it while I was at the game.
