I dont know if you guys got this but in the intermission. But demers and Bouchard talked about the reasons why Halak won't be traded. They said:
-The Habs never were that solid between the pipes (Remember the Theodore/Garon tandem... spooky stuff)
-Halak is not even close to his maximum value right now, and Gainey would be an absolute fool to trade him for peanuts when he got no value at all
Before the game, I also heard Houde and Brunet dismissing the Gaborik rumors
Also... Halak has lots of time before he's unrestricted... he's really not holding the cards. The habs can keep him around a while, the only scare would be Russia calling, but I'm sure I read somewhere he wasn't interested, and it would pretty much ruin his NHL career if he went.
Over priced Rental. These rumors will brew until the deadline, and if not the deadline then @ the UFA if we still have cap room. I'm content with our current team, and I'm sure Gainey is as well.
Huet/Price was HORRID, real GREAT we didn't take those two into the playoffs, might have been a hell of a different ending, we would have lot to Boston
Fixed!, Huet never won any important game and untill he does, he sucks in my books.

I think those 11 wins out of a possible 13 were fairly important to the capitals seeing as how it single handedly thrust them into the playoffs last year. He also took a much worse capitals team alot further than price did against the flyers. Hell we barely beat the Bruins who we rampaged over all season. What "important" games has price won in the Nhl? Is any game important until it comes down to the end of the season or in the playoffs? What a ridiculous statement.
That one trade took the Habs out of the running for a stanley cup finals meeting with detroit in my opinion.

game 7 vs boston, not important enough?
Huet, final game of the season vs Toronto, choked, had no buisness being in the net, but choked.
playoffs vs Carolina, was brutal!
I agree about Toronto, but he was excellent in the playoffs against Carolina.
o rly?
that Brindamour goal which btw, is what turned the series around along with the injury was brutal. The series winning goal by Stillman was just bad.
He was far from excellent in that series.
I dont feel like talking about it either, we have come a long way since then and we are at the next level now.

Price and Halak FTW!!!
What about all those bad goals Price allowed in the Philly series last year, those he sucks too?

I agree that Huet didn't impres anyone in the playoff so far, and Price hasn't either. But his future looks much brighter than Huet IMO.
Huet had a tendency to give up very bad softies... something Price did last year but with more rest and less weight to carry around he will be fine this season.

NOt, NOT and Not. Huet is a good goalie but the Habs where evolving. That mean Huet/ Price media debat over= let's play Hockey

How can anyone blame Huet for that last game against Toronto? They rushed him back from a very serious injury and throw him into a must win game. Do you have any clue about sports?
Go check his stats 3 years ago vs Carolina, he played very well(2.33 GAA and .929%) and the Habs were in control until Williams almost took Koivu's eye out, after that they took Gerber out and the offense died. Huet was our best player in that series.
