Nice to see Chipchura continue his strong play from the preseason... if only Carbo could realize that Dandy only really brings a strong PK aspect to the team which is something that Chipchura himself could easily handle.

Enough of this crap already, let Chipchura stick with the team.

Whenever it was, it was some time before the 2002-2003 season, but I haven't been able to find any schedules that date back prior to then.

Halak was great tonight! Nice to see Franky score a key goal when Carbo puts him back on D. Saku was great again he was the real force on his line tonight, 600 points .

The game lacked tempo tho and the refs didn't help with some major phantom calls.

the ducks have a bad rep with the refs and will likely lead the league once again in PIM. They dont kill them off like they used to.

I wont predict the score but the habs will get lots of PP practice on saturday, if nothing else.

I was at the game tonight and thought that Chipchura had a great night (and when I was coming back I was hearing Ron Fournier saying that he didn't had a bad match, but didn't had a good match either... ********)

Chip on one shift was telling Lang what to do after the faceoff. That's leadership.

He winned pretty much all his battles for the puck, his stickhandling is still above average, I'm sure I saw him throw 2-3 hits (but the stats guys gave him none, while he gave 6 hits to Latendresse who the only check I recall was when he went for a weak check to a guy that he could have nailed.)

Beside from that, very bad penalty by Lapierre at the end of the match. Was confused to see O'Byrne benched, I thought he was solid saturday. I didn't see the big mistake that could warrant to be benched, but I suppose that it was because Bouillon was now playing defense and that they wanted to go with experience to win the game.

But yet, I've been to 4 games to date and I always see Brisebois doing 1-2 BAD plays by game, but yet I always hear about how much awesome he is

I like Saku, always have and it's good to see him solid like that. He was one of our most dangerous player with Kovalev and Markov.

Komisarek still have some adjustment to do before being the Komo from last year, but it's so early in the season.

Is it wrong that I still hate Lapierre?

It's okay, I still hate Chipchura

Even though he looked better on the wing than Center. His future with the Habs might be on the wing, because the guy can't win face-offs to save his life right now. That's the main reason why Carbo placed Chipchura on the wing and not Lapierre.

For all the Pro-Chipchura, just relax people, it's only one game, come back when he'll play 40 like this.

ur not letting it sink in we don't have A. Kost, Higgins, Laraque, Bouillon on Defense (he was @ forward) with Price sitting

that looks like a B team

Most of the games he played last year were like this...

Why do you hate Chipchura anyways? I mean seriously. The guy brings a lot of much needed grit for our team, is a monster in the post-season, brings leadership, is a beast along the boards, has very good hockey sense and is good defensively. You win Stanley cups with players like these.

Is it because he was taken in the first round? Because you would've liked to have drafted other players? If so, that's a pretty retarded reason to hate a player. Chipchura is a solid prospect and I can guarantee that there are a lot of teams out there who would love to have him...

We're winning and everything's great.. but damn O'byrne makes me swear more than I should with a 5-0-1 record.

I'm not real sure how you guys don't see a different/boring team out there so far as the Panthers are concerned. I mean, the defensemen are sometimes the first one into the offensive zone, rather than sitting back waiting to play the trap like previous years.

I will say, though, that other than the new(er) players, it seems some guys are still adjusting to Deboer's faster pace. They're getting there.

Halak is a pretty incredible goalie, nice that you guys have him as a backup. Two solid young goalies. Seems as though you're 100th season will be a pretty good one. Enjoy.

With the way Kovalev is playing right now, he'd be on the D team.

I think you'll have to give some of us a chance to adjust Laus.

I know, I mean heck, I need a chance to adjust. It's fun watching Ballard rush into the zone like that. Bouw's said he's enjoying the new system as well, said "we'll see," when asked if he's thinking about staying. Guess that's positive.

A lot of the offensive players adjusting as well. Some of them seem to be waiting to sit back or dump the puck. Deboer's got them moving out there, though. Seems like he's getting a good system in place.

I don't honestly expect the playoffs this season. I mean, we'll see, and 7th or 8th is possible, but Martin's had a plethora of other GM mistakes to dig through. We're happy with most of what he's done, the Olli trade looks better everyday. Ballard has been terrific out there and Boynton has been a pleasant surprise. Ballard's got a point in every game. They just need the offense to get clicking, the defense is doing it all.
