Cool. I like Pardy. Doubtful he'll be playing though. Probably won't get in the lineup until there is an injury to one of the top 6.

Thanks for the replies, here's hoping for an injury or someone else's wife going in to labor. LOL He played 21 min the first game, and they interviewed him during intermission on CBC. Have to say it was kind of cool to see they guy who lived with my folks for 4 years live on HNIC.

BTW, I don't get to see many Flames games, I'm on the East coast, but I'm not a big Keenan fan. The 2nd home game of the season Pardy was told he was playing, so his Dad drove 5 hours from up northern Alberta (he works up there) to see his son play in the NHL for the very first time. Adam finds out after he arrives at the rink that he isn't playing. Bummer!

Go Flames, I really hope there's something positive to talk about tonight.
Leafs just tied it, we might miss a few minutes of the first period if this goes to a shootout.

How did Bourque end up with 9 minutes in penalties?

Wow, 9 minute powerplay for Washington.
Rene Bourque jumped Tyler Sloan for hitting Langkow.
2 mins instigating
2 mins roughing
5 mins fighting
10 min misconduct I believe.
This game could be over before the first period is over.

What the hell is the point of giving somebody a penalty for both roughing and fighting?

nine minute powerplay?

Holy overdoing it ref. Why not just gift wrap the game for the Caps

I can see a 5 minute PP from all of that, but not nine

McCreary is probably the worst official in the league. Being a wings fan that guy has screwed us so many times. Come on.... 9 minutes? That is just way over the top.

Damn, I just got screwed on Pro-Line.
I put $2 and picked 3 ties. Tor/Ana 3-2 in shootout. Buff/Boston 3-2 in shootout, and Tampa/Atlanta 3-2 in Overtime on a powerplay goal for Tampa.
$2 ticket was worth $468. Stupid penalty on Brian Little for Atlanta.
I hate pro-line rules, should just be at the end of 3 periods and lower the odds from 6 to 4.
I'm obviously not disappointed in the $2 I lost.

Wow what an awful powerplay, but we're going back on 5 on 3. Hopefully it's better.

Thought it was a pretty decent period for the flames. Great kill and they need to capitalize on these powerplays now.
