OT - Eklund Ruputures Appendix

- Fine (E5)

Eklund was taken to the hospital suddenly at 1pm ET with what has been found to be a ruptured appendix. He is going to be fine but is going in for emergency surgery as we speak. Other bloggers from hockey buzz will be writing in this space today and tomorrow as EK recovers.

No...but you require immediate medical attention.

The biggest danger is poison in the blood stream.

It happened to a friend of mine and well he was six hours away from death but he survived...after a month in the hospital hooked up on an IV. He lost like 30 lbs and he was a skinny mofo at the time

I thought this thread was going to be a literary joke about how he modified his trade guess with so many exceptions, apologies, or other explanations in case his guess goes wrong! But that is probably because it is almost 5 in the morning my time

I had it in '93 when I ruptured my appendix. What you describe is accurate. It sucked.

I was kept unconcious for 4 days after the surgery and then spent the next 3 weeks in the hospital. No food or water for 10 days. Just IV.

I'm going to close this thread though because eventually it will fall apart due to the mixed feelings about the guy himself.
