No, I don't think he's the best goalie in the league, but I think he does better in the ECHL than the AHL because he's pretty small so he doesn't cover a ton of net. He's usually listed at 5'8, but he's probably really about 5'7.

Never seen Kowalski play, but I will give a shot out to the Reading Royals goalie, I believe his name was Taylor. Haven't checked to see if he is still with them this year, but when my team (Cincinnati) battled the Royals in that back-and-fourth conference Championship last season, I was very impressed. Also Lalande from the Wranglers. Again not sure if he returned with the team this year or not. And then there was Andy Franck, not sure if he's still in the league or not. All those I believe would be considerations.

He's pretty good, I saw him play in the ECHL Kelly Cup finals in Trenton in 2005.

just found some related news to Kowalski, and i didn't bother start a new thread..

he's headed to Germany next season, he'll play with Duisburg (just got relegated from the highest league DEL)

i know it's not the answer if he's the best or not, but it's something

Not really relegated as the DEL is a closed league. They've have financial issues and haven't had too big of a budget and have been abysmal in the DEL as a result.
