So it's now, CFP for Eric Brewer, that wasn't so bad. I see him getting picked up.
Does this mean Pietroangelo has made the team for the rest of the year?
This will depend solely on Pietrangelo's play or a freak occourance like losing a couple d-men to long term injuries. We have other d-men that can be sent down if Alex stays past his nine games.
I think this move was made to try get him down to the AHL to get some time in after coming back from his injury but there may be some deeper reasoning behind it. Polak has really worked hard and earned his spot so far. Wagner has been getting progressively better each game. And then there's the outsider Jonas Junland who Andy Murray touted was our best player at Traverse City, which is something considering how dominant Berglund was. The kid came over this summer on his own dime to get an early start so he's obviously proved something to the managment.
Well, Weaver is a vet that you can put in the press box no problem. Woywitka is still young enough that he may actually get some benefit playing in the minors. Putting a player on waivers doesn't automatically mean you're getting rid of him.
There's really been a lot of waiver activity these last few days though.
How the mighties have fallen...
Anoher overhyped prospect here at HF.
He's a decent enough player...and I'm sure the Blues would love to keep him. He was waived to in order to get playing time in Peoria, not because the Blues want to release him. If he's claimed, he's claimed...but he's not some butcher on the back-end. He's actually played some pretty decent hockey for the Blues. He's just caught up in a numbers game, and the Blues have prospects coming out of the wazoo...
