That's the spirit, Lobo!

Tavares, here we come! lol

But seriously, I think they'll win tonight. As stated in last night's GDT, if they lose again tonight, I fully expect changes to be made before Saturday's game vs. Washington.

GO STARS!

I continue to cling to the faint hope that Boucher and Daley might yet again be paired...

edit: at least this one's going to be in HD. I can take a brutal beating as long as it's in HD.

And maybe we can see more wide shots or glorious scoring opportunities blown by Boucher.

QFT. Maybe we'll see a better overall commitment to defense.

No telling. The Stars were brutal last night, and Tippett is not afraid to shuffle lines like crazy.

Towards the end of the game last night:

Morrow-Richards-Brunnstrom
Neal-Modano-Crombeen
Avery-Ribeiro-Eriksson
Lundqvist-Petersen-Barch

The D pairs were shuffled every shift it seemed in the 3rd.

Well, that's probably not right anymore, but he was in Tippett's doghouse.

Actually, at one point in the Devil's game, Tip had him on the PK which was shocking.

I do believe that the only line that won't get messed with tonight is Modano's line. They've played well.

Islander fan here..

Our team is having the same trouble as yours. Nobody knows on the Islanders side what we're about to watch tonight. Will it be the expected, terrible play? Will it be the play we saw that got us two wins this year?

It should be an interesting one. By what I've watched of your team, this game could become high scoring as both teams are equal in the "Lets suck more" lately department.

Should be a nice goaltenders game. Good luck!

P/S - what the hell is going on? Your team should be a Stanley Cup contender, instead your ruining our chances at Tavares

I kid.. of course, but your team should not be this bad. Something has to give. I hope it's not tonight.

My wish for tonight:

Robidas, Grossman, Boucher, and Daley play more than 25 minutes each.

Fistric and Niskanen play less than 10 minutes, and not on the same pair. Rotate Boucher and Robidas with them.

Masterplan - There's really not much accounting for that. The first three lines are rotated pretty much at will, and the makeup of those lines is constantly subject to change, depending on how the team is playing.

For example, last night on the '3rd line', Ribeiro saw 20:40 TOI, the most of any Stars forward, including Morrow and Richards. Source here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/boxscore.htm?id=2008020088

Any time you see a Dallas Stars line list, take it with a ~huge~ grain of salt. Tippett threw out the "traditional" line format years ago, with the exception that your "4th line" will be a grind line, and have limited minutes.

If you check the link above, you'll get a better idea of who will be on the ice and how often. But, last night's performance (or lack thereof) aside, this is always subject to change, even on a shift-to shift basis.

I predict Sim or Guerin score within the first 5 minutes.
