Come on, that was a good play by Ribeiro, but Eriksson being able to lift it in tight was awesome.

Sweet finish, wow! Usually Loui just tries to slide it on the ice.

Oh, it was. But it's so very nice to have a forward group that was going.

This team is so very feast or famine this year. They give me heartburn.

I like our opponent better.

We should play them more often.

You think Ribeiro really cares right now that Eriksson doesn't shoot right?

You know we're facing the Islanders, right? I mean, good for them for not playing down to their opponent's level, but a blowout here wouldn't be anything special really..

Stars lead after 1. Such a strange feeling, yet so familiar.

If the boys would stop giving me heart attacks in their own end...that'd be greaaaat.

I don't think the opponent really matters. I mean, they've played a ton of bad teams and looked bad in the process.

Who cares? If you want to dwell on the negative, be my guest.

I never said this means they've turned it around. I'm just glad to be watching the Stars play decent hockey no matter who they're up against.

They also had leads in those games too (maybe not 3-0), so don't throw out the possibilities of a total meltdown, like they seem to have every season. I'll start celebrating after 60 minutes.

Credit the Stars, no doubt. They're playing well.

But this Islander team is not good.

Right now, we need to work on being consistent. Lot of hockey left to be played.

At least I'm looking forward to going to the game Saturday for more than just seeing Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom, and Green; nice to want to see the Stars again.

I'd much rather be beating the Islanders, than losing to those same Islanders.

A win's a win, no matter who our boys are facing.
