6-1 Edmonton after 2. Anyone else think the Oilers were motivated. This game was 1-0 for a ways as well.

The Coyotes are really slumping right now. And I'm sure Edmonton is getting a little motivation from the fans.

“It will be interesting for sure, but as a player you have to use it as a motivating factor,'' said Comrie, who has only one Phoenix goal since arriving in a Feb. 10 trade with Philadelphia but has points in six of nine games. “If they aren't booing, it's because you weren't liked. If they are booing, they wanted you playing for them.

“It's almost a compliment.''
Oooh I can't wait until March 2nd~! We'll boo him until he cries!! Then he can truly see how much "they wanted you playing for them"!

Every Oilers fan has March 2nd circled on their calenders with a bold red magic marker!

I have off from work, I'll have to watch

In all fairness though, the Yotes are slumping. They got blown out by Nashville and lost to Pittsburgh.

7-1.

Phoenix might be slumping, but we'll take a win where we can get it.

Not that it's all his fault, but since his shutout streak Boucher's numbers are horrid.

Yeh, Phoenix has been dismantled. Burke, Savage, Nagy (too bad - his best season). Not looking good. Good for Edmonton though, let's see the big 11 game streak!

The funny thing is the game would have been a blow out in the first had Boucher not made some stellar saves. The defense in Phoenix has been absolutely brutal since Tanabe went down. Nobody can move the puck out of their own zone and it is just one turnover after another. Lots of prime time scoring chances created for the opposition.

Savage is actually still there. The Yotes were really hoping that somebody would take him with a waiver claim, but no dice.

Really? I thought he was just in limbo after clearing waivers. Well, good for him to be back. I always had a soft spot for Mr. October.

Comrie is still a great young player, Phoenix is just a bad team.

I don't know if I'd go that far. But the point about the oomba loomba guy is kind of funny.

Tanabe and Mike Johnson too..

Phoenix could really do with a high 1st round pick though, we've never had one unless you count the Winnipeg days when we got Doan. Quite deep in prospects but nobody elite.

If Comrie is just a cry baby, then do you really think that he'll be in the line up on March 2nd and March 28th?

Jeff Taffe has been playing well for the Yotes. Finally has gotten a chance with some decent linemates and PP time.

Pretty amazing the Mara had 25 minutes of icetime and was even (+/-) when the Oilers scored 6 ES goals.
