Game 8: Flames @ Coyotes - 8:00 P.M - Fan 960

3-3-1 @ 3-3-0

Radio!!!

NHL Preview:

Quote:

The Flames look to add to their momentum on Saturday, when they visit a Phoenix Coyotes club coming off of a revitalizing triumph of its own.

Calgary (3-3-1) opened the new season with a 6-0 defeat at Northwest Division rival Vancouver, which set the stage for a 1-3-1 start. The Flames have rebounded, though, with consecutive wins.
Quote:

"Winning these two games like we did teaches us to stick with it," Iginla said. "We want to come out blazing in every game, but if we're not doing that these are the types of games we can draw on."
Quote:
Both Tellqvist and No. 1 netminder Ilya Bryzgalov have struggled against Calgary.
Quote:

The Flames have dominated this series in recent years, winning 14 of the last 18 matchups and seven of nine at Phoenix, including both road meetings last season.
Analysis:

We need a 60 minute effort. I'd love to see a complete game from this Flames team because they've shown that when they play, they're are damn near impossible to stop. Being more disciplined would help and improving a bit on the PP wouldn't be so bad either. It was nice to see Iginla get going in the last game and let's all hope that continues. Lombardi is doubtful to be in the lineup so that means either Nystrom or Roy draw in. Personally, I hope Ny gets the chance. Go FLAMES Go!

Here's hoping the team can pull off another win, in a 60 minute effort.

Go Flames!

I'll be honest, I really think the Flames will lose this one. I just can't see them going three games without losing at this point in the season.

Lombardi is out for the game so hopefully Nystrom can get in the lineup.

The Coyotes are a much improved team and this should be a good test for the flames. Need a solid 60 minute effort if the flames are going to get the win. Looking forward to it.

Go Flames!

According to TSN, he's out. According to Sportsnet he's in.. Nothing confirmed either way yet.

Calgary fans,

I'm pretty excited to watch this game. Calgary is one of my favorite teams in the league, but I do not follow them intensely. How has Kipper been playing lately?

Phoenix just came off a three game losing skid (Chicago, Ottawa, Montreal) with a win over Washington.

Kipper's been playing like Brian Boucher when he wasn't on the shutout streak until the last two games

Needs to get better but could be worse

Question for you: Who do you cheer for during Calgary/Phoenix games?

For those who have Centre Ice the game will be on:

Bell Express Vu channel 426
Starchoice channel 471
Shaw channel 321

The CBC is stupid for not televising this game to southern Alberta.

Well I have followed the Coyotes for quite some time so they would be my favorite team and who I'll be cheering for. However, I also enjoy watching Calgary, Washington, and Chicago because I find them quite exciting.

Not the best solution, but can you get it on cbc.ca?

Unfortunately, you cannot because the game is not a HNIC telecast.
