OT: Coldplay to play free show @ Home of the Blueshirts

Ahoy friends, not sure how many of you out there are Coldplay fans, but I thought I'd pass along that they are playing a free show at the Garden on June 23rd for their upcoming album Viva la Vida or Death and His Friends, But! You can't be in the running to get tickets unless you Sign up!
Drawing for tickets is June 5th.

Saw them a couple years ago when they sold out the garden for 2 or 3 nights, awwwwesome!

Edit:The drawing is for a pair, all you do is put in your contact information (Name, email, zip code, and ph#) and then they will send you an email (got mine maybe 2 hrs later) to verify your information, and all you do with that is just click on a link to a coldplay page that says "hey! you verified your info!" and then they'll send you another email later saying your officially entered in the contest.

Yeah saw that, pretty nuts that they're going to play a free show at the Garden. Heard two new songs from the upcoming cd, really disappointed so far. Step it up!

Whats the other new song besides violet hill? where did you hear it?

Didn't like violet hill at first listen, but then it grew on me.

I tried to get in through a back door, but all the other fans are already doing that.

cause they are ****ing awesome! been to their last 2 MSG shows, my god they are entertaining. Chris Martin almost makes me have a man crush on him, he is so charismatic on stage, and keeps the audience entertained...

This is nothing short of them at the garden a few years ago. (I had first row of the 400s right next to the production booth )

Nice to see a plug for the Hype Machine..that's an outstanding site.

I saw this too, I signed up a little while ago but I haven't received my confirmation e-mail yet..I imagine they are getting bombarded.

I saw Coldplay on the "A Rush of Blood to the Head" tour in June 2003 at MSG and it was an amazing show. I highly recommend one of their concerts if you can get tickets.

As for the new album, I've only heard "Violet Hill" so far and I was so-so on it at first but it's really grown on me. It doesn't really have their typical style of sound..it's almost kind of a latin beat at times. It's unique, I'll say that.

The Album is pretty good, I like it. Lost is a good tune, the drums are soothing.
