Kings vs. Wings Monday night - One order fried wings, please.

Since Deadmarsh killed the Wings in the playoffs some years back, Kings - Wings games are far too often more like Wings Home Games with so many Michiganders coming out of the woodwork and the Wings essentially dominating us like they were at home at the "Joe."

It would be really nice to see the Kings get a little nasty, clamp down defensively, crank up the O-ffense, and give Detroit a little of their own medicine. If we could play them like we played against St. Louis, that would be sweet. But Detroit aint St Louis, and the boys are gonna have to be at the best to top the Wings.

It sure would be a nice treat to send all those red jerseys home with King sized order of Fried Wings Monday night, wouldn't it?

When I think about games like this ... where one team supposedly outclasses the other. (I would make the point that in the NHL the distance between the best team and the worst team isn't all that much ... but that's an argument for another day.) In situations like the team (Detroit) that is "better" have to worry about the team that is "worse." Not in an afraid we are going to lose sort of way but more of a ... "Crap, those guys beat the crap out of us and are tough as nails to play against" kind of way. I do not think that the Kings are better than the Wings but they are coming here, to our house. I want them to have to earn every square inch of ice. I want guys nervous coming through the neutral zone afraid Brown is going to knock them on their ass. I want guys afraid to go into the offensive zone becuase Greene, Quincy, and Gauthier are going to make them eat glass.

When the Red Wings leave I want it to be with a loss. But if they have to leave with a win I want it to be painful and I want them to remember that if you EVER come into Los Angeles and want to win you have to earn it.

This is a game where the Kings will just need to concentrate on their system, and play hard for a full 60 minutes.

I end up watching a lot of Wings games, because i get mesmerized watching Pavol Datsyuk play the game! TM is attempting to set up a mini version of what they have going with the Wings. Scoring threats on all lines. Right now it looks like it is Hossa, Datsyuk and Holmstrom and then Zetterberg, Franzen and I think Hudler.
It doesn't matter because they have so much depth they can switch up. Kind of hard to contain them.

They do have momentary lapses in play where there are turnovers, and Kings will have to seize those opportunities.

I just hope they play a game like they did against the Blues! Go Kings

The truth of the matter is that, two games ago, when we were at .500, could very well have been the last time that this team see's .500 hockey for the rest of the season.

I hope you all enjoyed it while it lasted

I'm okay with another top 5 pick. Clearly I'd rather see this team battle for a spot, but what's the point if they're going to play the Red Wings or San Jose in the 1st round.

I predict a bloodbath. Regardless I will say my prayers to St. Deadmarsh for a win.

Because we can easily fall below .500 in January - April.

So we can assume the Kings will stay near .500 for the remainder of the year then? What's happening in January that won't be happening in November?

Apparently Franzen is out with a knee injury. One less scoring machine to worry about.

Kings win! Support your team guys.

I've got a question: this weekend we, in Europe, set the clock back one hour. I was just wondering when you people in America will do that, so I can keep that in mind when I watch the games.

Thanks,
GO KINGS GO!!!!

I will guarantee the following:

1. It will be a close game
2. It will be an exciting game

I have not yet summoned the powers of predictable practical positivity for the game winner.

We, too, will be setting our clocks back one hour on Sunday November 2nd. So there should still be no difference, as far a hours go.

Kings do surprise us once in a while. I expect it to be a close game. Kings tend to play the Wings hard, even in bloodbaths.

Kings still lead the all-time series afterall.
