Gauthier let us down, plain and simple. That is a play that an NHL d-man simply can't make.

Nice to get a point against a great team, but it should have been two.

And not to say this had any real significance in the game, but why do the Kings play Ivanans vs. teams that don't dress tough guys, the guy is an absolute liability with whatever line he plays on and serves no purpose in a game vs. a team like Detroit. Moulson or Boyle should play over him.

Go Kings.

Is that a transcript of Terry Murray's post game chat with Gauthier?

Gauthier blew that game for us. We had the Wings number the entire third period and one, moronic turnover cost us that extra point.

Nice to see that on all 3 goals against in regulation, Pillows gets completely frozen by them.

In the shootout, he actually didn't look bad on the Datsyuk goal, but Zetterberg made him look like an idiot.

Of course, in spite of that it was Gauthier who cost us the game.....

i disagree.. this loss was all on Terry Murray.. Harrold and Gauthier on the ice when holding a lead with 2 minutes left is suicide.. that's just bad coaching..

I just have to say the Wings outshot, outhit, and had less giveaways than the Kings. If tying in faceoffs counts as outplaying a team, then yes, the Kings did.

Still, great game by both teams. Kings look very promising and I am happy to see Quincey get a lot of ice time.

There is that too.

I am not upset. Being upset means nothing.

I am disappointed and encouraged.

I feel the pain of the team right now. We all should feel their pain. It's in our job description as fans.

Not exactly. I'd say 50/50 between him and Gauthier.

I hope so because that was a terrible play. I honestly looked away when he turned it over. I just knew it would result in a friggin goal.

I don't remember the first goal, but the second two were completely the defense's fault letting people have wide open shots from directly between the faceoff dots. If you let a decent NHL forward get an uncontested shot from a prime scoring area, they are going to score most of the time. Labarbera did pretty well all game, especially battling Samuelson and Holmstrom right on top of him all game. Try to take a little bit of bias out of your eyes and blame the defense once in a while.

It would have been better for him to just sit in the butterfly position and hope the pucks hits him.

Anyone who is blaming Laberbera for this game is in idiot, end of story.

I admit he has had some crap games this season, this was not one of them.

Frickin Gauthier, is it htat hard not to throw the puck out in front of the net? oy!! I never expected Labarbera to have a chance in the shootout. Time to give Preissing a chance to play again! FRICKIN GAUTHEIR!

FRICKEN TERRY MURRAY more like it.. just pissed away a point that we desperately need (Tavares/Hedmaners need not apply)

Do you guys still think Moller is going back to the WHL?

I just don't see Terry Murray breaking up one of the better lines we have right now.

I will not disagree with the outshot and giveaway claims.....but I do not see how you can claim the Redwings out hit the Kings. Doughty, Brown and Greene hit the crap out of your team.
