In the way that no one out there wants to fight him, so while he's looking from a bench Kosto is getting his face polished.
I now understand what Pittsburgh fans meant when they said he's not very effective as a fighter.
TK's only had one this year hasn't he ? I think we've been unrealistic about how it works with a tough guy in the lineup. You can't make a guy fight unless there are special game circumstances, and you don't care if you have to kill a long penalty.
I think having a guy that people know can do some damage helps to an extent. To think that all hitting would cease and desist because of his presence was kind of naive if fans really thought that.
I have a good feeling about tonight's game contrary to last game, Carolina is due to lose against us at the Bell Centre, so is Cam Ward, we just came off a loss so usually we bounce back well and we finally have our full line up so i predict we win this one 5-2.
I understand and I'm not waiving a panic flag by any means. Just somewhat disappointed with BGL, especially in that Phoenix game. I understand it wasn't his fault that no one wanted to fight him, but still...
Fighting is not everything.
BGL is over 250 pounds, has huge shoulders and arms, and should use them to give thunderous hits. A good and hard body check is as good and as intimidating as a fight !
That is why, I will always prefer guys like Lucic, Clowe, Gaustad or Brown (LA) over any goons.

I personally think the line of Dandy Laps Non-Stopoulis is a great 4th line. You've got great speed and grit as well.
There is no need for BGL tonight, we're playing Carolina not Boston or Philly. As for Begin, well... I like him but why in Jeebus' name does he keep taking stupid penalities over and over and over? Go back over his entire career with the Habs and it's almost like he's cursed.
Laps isn't going to sit, and Non-Stopoulis shouldn't either with the way he's been playing, so really you're down to BGL, Begin and Dandy. If we're playing some more gritty teams, add in BGL or Begin. We're not, so it's a simple choice in my books.
I'm excited to see this game because I feel that the Higgins, Lang, SKost line will be great. Not only do they seem to be the types of players that would compliment each other, they will be playing against Carolina's 2nd and 3rd defensive pairings... I am hoping for a big game from this line.
On the other hand, we can't expect Higgins to be back to 100% after only 1 game this season...
Now that Andrei is back, hopefully he can help get Pleks back on track. He seems like he is putting to much pressure on himself out there. He is visibly anxious/nervous on the ice. He's creating oppertunities, but just not taking them to the bank.
