I'll give you Briere for Filatov right now. I don't care.

For the record guys, I only included Gomez in the proposal because Drury has a NMC. Gomez has a NTC in which he can list 3 teams he can't be traded to. Come to think of it, Columbus is probably on that list. I would include Drury in the proposal if not for the fact that he has the NMC and that he is the captain of the team.

I don't think Staal is a big enough upgrade to make that trade.

Two centers to help their case. Lang could be considered a Top 6 forward. So there you go. Plus they get a solid young center, who Montreal just doesn't have room for.

psst: Brassard is a center.

psst2: Robert Lang isn't top-6 talent anymore.

From the perspectve of a CBJ fan who doesn't think a ny trade is likkely but who wants to play along and thinks this is kinda fun...

I would strongly consider either of these.

That would serve you better and not involve selling the farm.
Of course.

Something along those lines seems decent. Personally don't want to trade klesla, Russell, or Hejda when it comes to the blue line...And a center like Lombardi is all we really need at the moment, IMO.
Realize I'm agreeing to a deal proposed by a fellow CBJ-er, but this makes sense.

What I said was that he could pass as one. He got 54 points last year and I understand that he is old but that is still decent.

Bergeron and Hunwick for Russell, Tyutin and a 1st? Ouch...Boston doesn't do that one.

Jason Spezza for Brassard, Tyutin and a pick as a start. A goaltending prospect would find its way in there too, LaCosta or Mason.

Columbus 1st=Hedman, who'd make Boston cup contenders for the next 10 seasons.

Except with Savard in the line-up they likely don't finish last overall or even in the bottom 5 for that matter.

As a Flames fan, the Lombardi for Tyutin is interesting, but Calgary is log-jammed with NHL calibre, or at least psuedo-NHL calibre defenseman, some of which are being paid NHL money in the minors (Anders Erikson anyone?). I like Tyutin a lot, but it sort of adds to a problem the Flames already have.
