OT: Bruins shutout Van

Looks like the Oilers weren't the only ones who had problems beating Tim Thomas and the Bruins. Nice to see they didn't give our divisional rivals a charity point.

Interestingly enough, four of this evening's seven games were shutouts.

Back to back 1-0 games for Thomas... not alot of room for error, but he's up to the challenge the past 2 nights.

I feel the same way, but at least it wasn't a 3-point game

Watched 2 periods and it was like a replay of last night except Vancouver outshot them. Lots of energy, great hits and the B's passes were tape to tape and Vancouver's passes hit Bruin sticks. The B's aren't that different a team than the Oilers - the Oilers just need to play with the intensity that the B's were able to bring 2 nights in a row. Cliche: They wanted it more!

I'll say it again but its an indictment on the *goal scorers* in this league that Tim Thomas has the highest save percentage in the league and hasn't been solved.

An embarrassment really that players are not figuring out how to beat this guy.

Yep...I watched the game as well. The Bruins are a hungry hockey team with a lot of skill and Lucic is a gem.

Yup...it's unfortunate but the Flames are looking very solid in recent games.

Everytime I watch that kid it reminds me that they got him with our pick (from the samsonov trade), I would still do it again though.

It could be that he has no style at all playing the same way the Dominator used to play. He's just not as good as Dominick was.

I think Lucic is being way overrated here. So is the Bruins team imo.

Grass is greener I guess.

The 80's Oilers would light this Thomas clown up like Rejean Lemelin.

Can't stand the Current Bruins or their style of play. Glad we haven't played them in 2 yrs.
Fortunately I never have to watch them.

Never even noticed him. Kept looking for anything resembling the hype and saw nothing. He did nothing last night.

Well...he would be leading the Oilers in scoring right now.

He's 6'4"/220 a decent skater, hits like a truck and fights.

Sounds like a hockey player to me...and he's only 20.

The few times we beat the suffocating trap, we ran into Kyle Shewfeld in net...

Anomaly.

30% shooting is the whole story here. Wonder how long that lasts..

His shooting % is actually 21.1%. A little high to be sure but half his points are assists.
