On the other side of the argument, where would the Sharks be without the Thornton trade?

Only player in Boston still from that trade is Sturm (the only real quality player of the three in my opinion) and Thornton is going to end up with many franchise records for the Sharks (assuming he stays here his whole career as he has said he wants to)
