Damn Minnesota is doing well. Hopefully we can beat another hot team (NYR).

I jsut picked up Mikko Koivu in fantasy.

If he plays as well as he did in Chicago last year, we shouldn't hand anything to worry about. Almost anything is a step up from Marty at the moment. I think this is a good move.

The line combos posted on the dmn blog make me want to beat my head against the wall.

If Tipp is that worried about Brunnstrom's defense, then try this combo.

Morrow-Ribiero-Eriksson
Neal-Richards-Avery
Brunnstrom-Modano-Crombeen
Ott-Peterson-Barch

There is no reason Ott should ever play with Richards or Modano unless they're killing penalties.

Those are just practice lines, though. Who knows how things will actually be by the time the puck drops...? Ott could move laterally as a winger on any line, as far as I'm concerned. I personally see no reason for B.J. Crombeen to be on the third line...or on any line, for that matter. If Chris Conner is flexible on RW/LW, they should swap Crombeen out for him. That's a whole n'other discussion, though.

I think a better combination would be:

Morrow-Ribiero-Eriksson
Ott-Richards-Avery
Neal-Modano-Brunnstrom
Barch-Peterson-Crombeen

I'd like to have that discussion.

The Neal-Modano-Crombeen line has been the best line on the ice most nights. Neal's had some defensive breakdowns lately, but Crombeen has been solid and contributed on both offense and defense.

If he's playing about his head right now, so be it. Let him see how long he can sustain this level of play. We may just find out he's an above average 3rd liner.

Crombeen and Modano lead the team in +/-. They are actually only 2 of the 4 players on the team with a + rating. That speaks volumes for the minutes they are playing, and the vast amount of goals being scored on Dallas.

Hello Everyone!

Blackhawks fan here, but the biggest Avery fan (yea I know, weird)... anyways, just wondering if anyone could help me with a stream for this game? I would really like to watch the Stars demolish the Wild.

Thank you for saying everything I would have and adding stats to back up what my eyes have been seeing. Why anyone would want to see Conner up with the Stars is beyond me. The man is a turnover machine. A nice AHL player but nothing more than that. It's like longing for Junior Lessard. Thank you, no. As for Crombeen, I've been really impressed. I, like you, have no idea if it will last but kudos to him and to the scouts/coaching staff for seeing this potential and putting him in the lineup last year and sticking with it when the rest of us didn't see anything special about him. He's actually what Lundqvist was supposed to be. A physical winger with decent hands.

Maybe those hands disappear but he's helped rejuvenize Modano and has been one of the few half way decent defensive players on the ice this season. If I've got to choose I know who I'm keeping. Especially in a lineup dirth of right winged, right shots.

If Stephan plays well tonight (Dallas wins), play him against the Blackhawks. Maybe our offense will show up this time unlike last year.
