Stephan needs to teach Turco a thing or two about making a key save. It doesn't have to be fancy, just make THE save Turco. Thanks TS.

Robidas looks like some cartoon character in the interview.

Those were some rather large saves from Toblerone down the stretch there when the momentum was leaning Minny's way. Koivu is damned sneaky, actually reminds me a bit of Ribeiro.

Fox is promoting Boys/Giants as the "game of the year". Really? Any game that could potentially involve Brooks Bollinger is not the game of the year.

is that an established nickname or did you just make it up? either way it's brilliant.

finish strong Stars, knock in another couple goals while your at it - first one preferably on this PP

I just throw things out there and see if they stick.

Yeah, the PP was starting to look lackadaisical... need to turn that around for the 3rd.

Or Brad Johnson.

Just another easy win for a relatively untested Giants team..

Wimpy call, but Modano karmicly deserved that for his shenanigans on the PP earlier.

So, who has high-def frame-by-frame? I'm nearly positive that's a goal, but I can see where there's reasonable doubt. It definitely deserves to stand, however.

Kinda. Right idea, poor execution. Both he and Stephan screwed up there.

the puck clearly went to the back of the net, as in 2 feet behind the goal line, then bounced back under Stephan. It was an obvious goal.

Crossing the line wasn't in question. The question was whether the net was slightly tilted up by Stephan backing into it (a la Turco) and the puck went in either under the lifted post or side of the net.

The replay from behind the net shows it crossed the line either under it or just inside the post, probably under it. I think the replay was basically inconclusive, and it deserved to stand. But it left room for very potentially interesting frame-by-frame shots.

I'm guessing Brunnstrom is benched for the rest of the game.

He lost his PP time to Ott, and Neal's been double shifting with Petersen and Modano.

Benched or hurt? You never know. Being on the bench doesn't mean he didn't tweak something.

I wouldn't be surprised at either, especially given the types of struggles he had in the preseason (i.e., being weak on the puck, not enough effort on the backcheck). Those things piss Tippett off, and he's never been afraid to bench guys for that, if those have reoccured.
