Smith has been fantastic.Hopefully he cools off.

Goose back in and was on the 4th line in practice today. I 'm not sure if thats where he will be during the game.

So...wait...he still has the Mullet? And these guys have no defense. We should roll over them 5-3.

I'm guessing Prince Vince puts up 3 points on us alone. It'll probably take 4-5 goals to outscore him and win this one.

It seems like players always seem to get their 'landmarks' against Buffalo.
I have a feeling Stamkos nets his first NHL goal against us, then adds another.

I'd rather the Sabres wait till 7PM tonight to play 60-minutes of hockey.

From today's Buffalo News:

Quote:
Paul Gaustad took a one-timer at the end of practice Wednesday, and it was a rocket. The puck glanced off the goaltender's arm and continued into the net.

Gaustad raised his stick, smiled broadly and shouted, "I'm back!"

Welcome back, Goose!

While the return of Goose will definitely be a lift, if our D can't limit TB's 2nd/3rd/4th chances in front of the net, we're in for a long night.

On the plus side, TSN's website has 3 Sabres news clips on their website (two for Mair). As they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

That said, I am an eternal optimist (prozac prescription)... 'Bres win 4-3 in a shootout. Vinny pulls a Hinske and whiffs on TB's last chance in the shootout.

Sounds good to me, DuffMan. Thanks for the info.

Please consult your GDT for the following information:

Tonight's officials are:

Stephane Auger & Tom Kowal

Mike Cvik & Tim Nowak

Also, Buffalo's Henrik Tallinder will participate in warm-ups tonight. According to Sabres coach Lindy Ruff, "He is going to go out for warm-ups and if he feels good, he will play tonight."

So if Tallinder is a go and obviously Weber will still be here. Who sits Paestch or Weber?

Paetsch sits, then Weber goes back down after he plays tonight. Just my hunch.

7-3. I just have a feeling that the Tampa D isn't going to be able to do much. They should get their opportunities though. I don't know how Smith has been so good with that D in front of him.

I think we'll win but I am not as confident as you RT, 3-2 Buffalo as two of the best goalies battle each other with Miller getting the advantage.

Back to back losses. A horrendous game against Ottawa. Gut Check time. We'll see what this team is made of. Either they elevate, or they wallow.
