Tough choice, I went with Kipper here. Dion also played well out there and Boyd had alot of speed as well. Great game and nice to see us collect 10 straight points. A fantastic October, much better than our usual one. Let's hope this strong play continues in November.
A tough choice between Phaneuf, Boyd and Cammy but had to vote Kipper as holy saves in the third to take the win for the team. Great team play and even better goaltending
My vote goes for Kipper.... he robbed Chara towards the end when it really counted.
What a game, this almost feels too good. Flames with 5 in a row, I like the sound of that.
Every one the team seemed to be working hard for the full 60 minutes, I think the team has figured out that showing up matters. The only dark moment of the game was when both Conroy and Vandemeer looked like their feet were cemented to the ice and their heads were somewhere else, that was one scary moment... luckily it didnt turn into a goal.
Can't wait until Saturday. Not to get over confident or anything, but I expect a win since they're playing the L.A. Kings. I'd love a blowout.
Its when you start asking for (or expecting) moments like that... bad things happen. I just hope they give it a good 60 minute battle and crash the net hard every time they get in the offensive zone.
But man I like this style that the Flames are showing, they are turning into a rough team to play against.

Why do you think I've been expecting losses the past 3 games.
My MVP went to The Dion. He was on his game at both ends of the ice. Though I will give some love for Thomas as this would have been a blowout for the Flames if he wasn't in net, really he was incredible.
Wooo. 5 games in a row in Oct.....first time since Atlanta !

Reason: more detail
Another great game by the flames. All 4 lines were playing well and if not for Thomas this one would have been worse. Some tense moments after the Conroy giveaway, but Kipper was up to the challenge. Kipper looks great! A ton of amazing saves in close.
Boyd had a great game and it was nice to see him get that goal. He deserved it and he has played really well during this win streak. Cammalleri continues to put up points and I just love how he fits on this team. Phaneuf probably had his best game of the season. Nice to see him improving especially in his own end.
So do we see McElhinney on Saturday or do we continue to ride Kipper who is hot?
I doubt Kpper will sit when he is red hot. He has climbed to over .900 save pct now, 6 wins etc. I would wager we will see Kipper... but I generally loose bets!
Phaneuf had a monster game. He didn't overplay for the big hit and was in good defensive position the whole game, which is nice to see. The flames PP should get the MVP honorable mention. I can't decide if it really was that good or the bruins PK is really that bad (they looked like pylons). I'm not a big fan on Conroy on the first line, but outside of his idiotic play for the second goal, he wasn't terrible. Once lombardi comes back, they'll probably put conroy on the third line again and break up the glencross-boyd-moss line which was solid all night. The second and third lines were great and our secondary scoring is really rounding into shape.
The fantastic thing about this winning streak is that we've won all different kinds of games; coming back from behind, getting ahead and holding a close lead, a shutout. Also the key contributors; some games were won by the top guys, some by the 3rd and 4th liners, and some by Kipper and the defence.
With the PP clicking (great puck possesion last night) and more disciplined play (2 powerplays for Boston) this is clearly the best October I've seen.
As for the game last night, very strong performance in the second half of the first period and second period. Outshooting the Bruins 20-9 in the second period, 38-31 overall. MVP vote went to Phaneuf, got us back in it with the goal. Very close second is Kiprusoff, made some amazing saves late in the game.
I thought Phaneuf played a great game last night. He was a huge factor on both ends of the ice.
Kiprusoff was very good. He was particularly sharp in the 3rd Period. However, he gets points deducted for fumbling with the puck that resulted in Bergeron's goal.
It was a good team effort last night, which actually has been happening throughout this winning streak. The team has very good balance upfront and a lot more speed. The PKers were again tremendous.

I think the puck was bouncing on that ply. I'm not really going to fault Kipper for that. It was just a little bit of bad luck.
