Not that Vally didnt play awful in the third period, but a couple of those shots were complete snipes. They were picking corners through traffic.

Power play midway through the third could have really iced this game but they didn't come up with it.

If you want to be a Cup contender you have to go for the final blow, and give your opponent no hope to come back. They left an opening with a backup goalie, and got burned badly.

vally didnt make some routine saves but that debacle was in fact a team effort. when you stop back checking and failk to control the front of your crease bad things happen.

looks like this team had already decided this game was over. mentally they were on the plane flying home and then a funny thing happened. toronto scored a goal and then another and vally had a meltdown. something hank would not have done.

this game was really the same as the last few. we can now all see the value of henrik lundqvist. hes the reason we are where we are. plain and simple.

this team hasnt played all that great recently and this is what would have happened had hank not saved our bacon.

Its easy to blame Vally, but its not strange that he is shaky after 2 goals against that fast. So maybe Fritsche shouldn't throw a complete blindpass that gives Toronto a 4 on 2 -- THE SHIFT AFTER THE MADE IT 2-2.

I'm so frustrated right now. I just sweat through my entire t-shirt basically and I have like acid indigestion. I need to calm down. But man, that was AWFUL.

on the bright side the Islanders just gave up a four goal lead in the 3rd and lost in regulation.

Yeah... it's just a stinker overall. Hopefully the embarrassment gets some of these players fired up

I was just thinking that. If Sundin was out on a line with Drury and Naslund, I think that it wouldn't have gone to 3-2. Fritsche makes a dumb pass and gives them a 4 on 2.

It did, when they did it against Montreal last year, no?

Ah, they'll eventually hit the snooze again. And then they'll have a bad game again and wake up. I don't know if other teams do it, but it does seem to be cyclical for the Rangers. Not that it makes them a bad team or anything.

Where in the hell did these guys get the notion that Voros is a point-per-game player? Of course he doesn't have a point in 5 games, HE ISN'T THAT GOOD!

What annoys me the most is that its such a freakin egoistic play by Fritsche. He wants to pass to the winner, do SOMETHING good so that he can keep playing.

Inorder to do so he is prepaired to **** Valley. To **** his teammates.

The tendecny of fans will be to blame this on Vally and say if Lundqvist was in they would've had a better chacne - of course that would bt avoiding the fact that Toronto was outplaying the Rangers badly, their offense wasn't going, their defense wasn't going and Toronto was beating them to the loose pucks. If Vally made the great saves we'd probably miss all those points - perhaps losing the game like this will end up being a good thing.

Well that was a ****ing disgrace. Usually I try to be optimistic, but the whole damn team deserves to be called out after they went out there and quit in the 3rd period. You have to give credit to the Leafs obviously, but this team, especially Valiquette, was an absolute abomination and they deserve to be thoroughly ripped after tonight.

You hope it's not the case and you hope they go right out there and take it to the Islanders on Tuesday, but a loss like this is definitely the kind of loss that can send a team on a complete downward spiral. I hope I'm wrong, but another effort like the one in the third and this team will be out of first in no time.

This was just embarassing. The only positive is that it's only November 1st and that this shows them you have to play 60 minutes, not 50 not 20, 60 MINUTES.

sundin, or the lack thereof, has nothing to do with this loss. this one is on vally and the failure to score more than 2 goals. period.

in this league with these refs, a 2 goal lead is nothing. face it folks, until the pp can put teams away, well ride on hanks back for our wins.
