One Scorer Away...Could it be Sundin?

So as the Rangers become more legitimate each day and as the season (and the salary cap implications start to whittle down, could a Mats Sundin deal be possible/ probable? He could be the last piece. Obviously lots would have to happen but if he is interested on being on a true Cup contender, his preferred geography (New York) could also be his best hockey destination. He could sure help put the power play over the top and unlike Shanahan, he wouldn't slow down this team at all. Sure an interesting and enticing though, isn't it?

Question is, Who wouldn't

I do think Mats will be coming back and at a cheaper price. But 2 million? As the great Steven Tyler has said. " Dream on "

We are fine, we just need to get the damn PP working.

We are in 1st in the NHL with a great record despite having one of the worst PP's in the league. And PP is huge.

I think anyone sane would take Mats if he was willing to take a small 1 year contract.

Drury - Gomez - Callahan
Voros - Dubinsky - Zherdev
Prucha - Sundin - Naslund
Orr - Betts - Sjostrom

That would be a ridiculous lineup. It won't happen though.

There's no way we're starting this discussion over again.
