Fletcher will pick him up , he needs the offense and at about 700, 000 with him being a UFA next year it makes sense. The kid can score , and he is capable on a younger team to get quality minutes.
I love the different spellings of his name: Ouellet, Oulet, Oullet, Ouelett, Ouelette, Omelette, Oueltte, Maxime, Ouellette.
How bout people trying to spell his damn name. Maxime and Michele is almost 2 diffrent type of names, and 2 diffrent palyers if you guys say (Maxim Ouellette)
People complain about him but all he does is put up decent stats. Fellow Pens fans said he would be crap in Tampa but he still scored close to 20 goals on a not so impressive Tampa team.
If you give him ice time like Wellwood, he could provide offense. He's better offensively than Pyatt, that's for sure.

He puts up decent offensive stats but is worthless in every other facet of the game. As for scoring close to 20 in Tampa, somebody had to.
Wellwood is ten times the player Ouellet is and, quite frankly, I think I'd rather have Pyatt as well.

Ouellet also led Tampa Bay in +/- and was second on the team in shooting percentage over 64 games. I dunno how he can suck that badly defensively when he's leading the worst team in the league in +/-.
I gotta see this guy play because the stats are not jiving with what some posters are saying.

Playing with Halpern helped him in everyway, I mean before Halpern arrived he was playing crap. Halpern was the perfect kind of player for him to play with, I mean if there is a similar player to centre him on a different team then that team could be on to a winner, but if not dont bother as he will score about 2 points and do jack ****...

Kesler seems like a pretty good comparable to Halpern...

halpern is not exactly scott gomez. michel benefitted from halpern, but he doesn't need an nhl superstar to produce in the nhl, just a competent linemate. dont forget he missed 18 games in 2007 and still got 17 goals and 36 points with darche and hlavac as linemates (two players that are also not in the nhl any longer).
i just dont see how fellow lightning fans can argue that richards never had linemates and that's why he didn't produce, but then won't give anyone else the same benefit of the doubt.
imo, ouellet is a good 3rd/4th line winger for the conucks, and i hope he can stay up.
