I still don't even know who he is. Is he just some dude with a blog, or does/did he actually write for someone?

You're a sucker for punishment? Seriously, he's been saying this every day now so I don't know why you'd you believe this was the night.

I have often asked myself this question as well. How does, "Ek" have these sources he speaks so highly of at times. Was he a writer for something or someone? Or perhaps a player? I mean after all we don't know this guy's real name. We just know Burt's But, in all seriousness, if an, everyday joe can read a few rumors on other sites or, "sources" anyone of us can run a site like he does. However, i'll leave that to, "Ek"

Shanny could expect a 1 or 2-year deal averaging between $1 million and $1.2 million. If Shanny announces the FLyers, the Kukkonen waiver figures prominently.

A skeptic, however, would argue that the Flyers are also clearing additional space to sign Shanahan to a one-year deal somewhere in the vicinity of $1 million to $1.2 million.

I hope this is some sick joke. We do not need Shanny for 2 years.

I doubt Shanny signs for two years. I just want this ******** to end, it's like the Forsberg thing from last season.

I agree with this. All Ek does is stir the pot. This is nothing but hogwash.

I would be interested to see who's ice time he eats up if he DOES sign with us. Right now we seem to be getting on the right track...you know the ol' saying. "If its on it's way to not being broke don't fix it"...

That is the saying right?

I agree. A few days ago, I was feeling that the Flyers had to sign Shanny, but now the lines seem to be meshing a little bit... And you also have Briere coming back soon to screw with those lines.

nodl and lupul/hartnell

he takes nodl's spot on the top nine bec he looked horrendous out there in the third period and didnt play after 3 straight bad shifts. then takes pp time from hartnell or lupul

He takes Nodl's 15mpg. Shanny easily fits in with Upshall and Carter. I hope it happens tomorow.

Nodl is solid sometimes, very rookie-like other times. If we do end up with Shanahan, there's absolutely no harm in Nodl going down. Shanahan will be a more consistent player.

Agreed. I think a lot of people are still stuck in the preseason where everyone had Giroux penciled in as a 50 point player on Carter's wing.

Fact is, we have a spot on our top 9 that could significantly upgraded with a vet like Shanahan. I wouldn't complain if they stuck with Nodl since I don't think our top 9 is a weakness and Nodl has been competent enough, but if Shanny is willing to sign for cheap then I see no reason to turn him down.

So I guess Jones and Parent coming off the IR, not having played a hockey game in months, will sure up our defense for the rest of the year.

Some people

I am just curious what exactly did you mean by your post? Jones and Parent are out for a long time so that means they will not come back this tear? Is that it?

How about Vaananen? Or is he a forward?

Players first recover and then pratice as soon as they can. Jones will be here in one month.

November is mostly easy games with few exceptions. Dallas not playing very good, Sabres who suck right now.

Maybe we should trade for ALL star blue line. Maybe then we won't need any coaching on this team?
