Everywhere else he has played well. Stop calling for the guy's head.

I really hope he doesn't become the next whipping boy in Malik's absence.
I'm with you here. Man, I'm pissed off as much as anyone, but I'm not giving up on Rozy yet. You could tell how upset he was in post game interviews as he told reporters he cost them the game. Yeah, I may be too optomistic but I see this one as a turning point in Rozy's game.

I hope

Love the title of this thread. Shook my head when everyone else was pumped that we resigned this guy.

hmmmm perhaps for Bieska, how much does that dude make

I can see Rozi being moved to make room for Sundin but they would have to also move Prucha and for god sakes send Rissmillers contract down already, who flippin cares if the rich rangers pay the guy a million to play in Hartford

He was terrible tonight. Overall he is barely an average defenseman.

Done, and he makes 3.5 million, so I'm not sure if it would make that much of a difference cap wise.

Can't agree with ya there buddy. I think he's easily a top 4 that had a rotten game against a bitter rival which always makes things worse.

and finally, THEY are the ones who are to blame for 2 years of pathetic pp results.
The players PLAY THE GAME. The coaches DO NOT.

The fault is on the players.

Wake up call:

Rozsival is NOT bringing anything of value in return.

If he is traded, it is a salary dump.

yea, but there are plenty of teams that need D and would be willing to take him. We might have to overpay but we'll get something for him.

Thats what I was getting at, I could care less about getting value back for him. Prospects or picks would be fine. Imo, IF Sundin says yes Ill play for the Rangers, then you move Rozsival outta here in a heartbeat

MIN needs a d man and we can giv it to them and throw in prucha...the fact tht it is salary dump is just a PLUS..he doesnt deserve half of what he was given...And Gaborik will be out of MIN after his contract is up..so why not try and get him now before we have to offer him more then he is making now

If we are noticing Rozsival's short comings, you think GM's of NHL teams will not notice?

He makes $5/year. To play uninspiring hockey. To make horrid turn overs on the power play and not do anything to get back and protect.

He will bring back nothing of value.

Think: Hugh Jessiman for 'future considerations' kind of value. Except we would be asked to cover part of his salary.

The bigger question is who is replacing Rozsival?

a 30+pt defenseman is not easily replaced. Regardless of how horrible he looks at times.

Think his turnovers are bad? Sanguinetti and any other Hartford player would be worse.

I bump our defenseman all up one on the depth chart, and slot in either Fahey or Potter, who imo looked very impressive in camp and preseason. Its just my opinion

And you gain those points back with the addition of a Sundin who could be easily a 50-60 point guy if not higher
