Whens the last time Florida ever won a trade? Martin is TERRIBLE at trades.
That being said, they'd get hosed again on this one.

Maybe if you take out the 1st. Its probably going to be a high one this year. I can see them doing it if nothing better arises. It all depends on their future plans...are they continuing/starting to rebuild or are they deciding to become a contender again? I'm sure a they could easily get a mid to late first and a couple of great propects, but how many teams in the playoffs will give up their top forward and defenseman for him.

Every proposal nowadays involves one or more of Kovalchuk, Gaborik, or Bouwmeester.

I laugh at this proposal..

Gimme Weiss, J-BO and a 3rd pick and you get those 2 back..

Sorry, but I'll take Kaberle over J-Bo any day...
Weiss for Poni=Fair..
The Pick just to even it out..

Terrible? Apparently you believe everything you read. Bertuzzi (injured, mind you) for Matthias and 2 picks. Vokoun for 3 picks, Gratton for a 2nd (31st overall, Markstrom), Salei for Skrastins and a 3rd, Belak for a 5th, McCabe and a pick for Ryno (Ryno's played well, as I expected, McCabe comes back tommorrow), and Ballard's been pretty great and Boynton's been better than expected.

Terrible trades, huh? Little research goes a looooooong way.

*Btw, Kilger was acquired for the pick we got from Colorado in the Salei trade.

Weiss isn't going anywhere and neither is Kaberle thanks to his NTC.

Supporting evidence is supposed to back up your point, not his.

They won a trade in 2000, when they acquired Luongo and Jokinen for Oleg Kvasha and Mark Parrish.

Also, they traded Chris Gratton for what was essentially a first round draft pick.

Come onnnn, don't be silly, lol.

Their 1st rounder is going to be pretty nice, it's not getting packaged wth J-Bo to go almost anywhere. Remember, FLA is the one with the hot commodity, not T.O.

They can give up J-Bo for an equal-better deal while keeping their 1st

colin wilson is not a "what if"

he might be one of the most "sure thing" prospects in last years draft. coming from a hockey family, and being brought up in a very hockey environment goes a long way. and this kids a natual leader.

he'll be a great player in a few years.

No way Florida does a trade involving Bouw and ends up down a first round pick

Thanks, we will. Both goalies are actually quite solid (Trotz has said Rinne could be as good as Vokoun, and I'm inclined to believe him), but our team defense is so horrific that we give up way too many quality scoring chances. Yes, Hörnqvist-Arnott-Dumont, I'm looking at you.

Wouldn't all the guys from last years draft currently playing in the NHL have to be considered the most "sure things" from last years draft. I know he's playing college, but why bother wasting your time there if you are a sure fire star? He has the making of a great NHL player, but until he suits up, lets go with what if.

it's true that as of RIGHT NOW the players drafted last year that are playing NH right now are MORE of sure thing prospects, but i'm pretty sure colin wilson would fit in right now if he were to suit up and play for nashville. however, it's best for his development to play college (atm)
