we actually like to turn off the TV volume (detest Joe; like Sam) and listen to Kenny and Dave during the games

Kenny is absolutely incredible on the radio. On Saturdays, I used to be out until about 1:30, so if there was an afternoon game, there was nothing better than listening to him on the radio while driving back home on a sunny day.

Is the Joe dislike a common thing around these parts? I happen to like what he brings to a game, but the obvious problem is the fact that he and Sam still have poor chemistry. Does that play a part in your decision?

i like him as well, not sure why the hate. the guy i really hate is Maloney, the guy can't say a friggin coherent sentence to save his life. his sentences always start off at point A, and end up at point Q. its insane trying to follow his chain of thought. He's awful.

It really hits you just how good Kenny is and how difficult the job is when you listen to LaGreca fill in for him.

In October LaGreca had real difficultly keeping up with the pace of the game and anticipating scoring chances and goals; Kenny is just in lock step with the rhythm of the game for 60 minutes, he's a real pro. (I like LaGreca, just saying the way it is though)

LaGreca is good at what he normally does, and that is analyzation. Play-by-play requires a completely different skillset.

Eric's gotta go out of town for a wedding this weekend so we'll be back Monday going over the Lightning and Caps games.
