tor - atl

Blake
Coliacovo

for

Kozlov

atlanta gets a similiar contract cap wise and an oft injured young defenseman they can take a chance on. tor gets a veteran player with a better contract that they may be able to pawn off a little easier around trade deadline time.

basically the leafs give up coliacovo for a slight improvement on blakes salary.

In my defense, I didn't have my glasses on.

That's weird, I didn't even see Blake until it was pointed out either.

Yep, that's Blake alright. He's usually invisible, and when he shows up, it's only to disappoint you.

1. Blake is gone
2. Cola gets to play somewhere where he will likely play top 4 minutes that he deserves
3. Always liked Kozlov

Ok by me

Pass.

Slava brings much more to thrashers than Blake will.

Colaiacovo wouldn't be top 4 d-man in Atlanta at the moment and that is even with current injuries to Bogosian and Schneider.

Atlanta needs to improve its Top 6 F, not downgrade it for what would be for them a bottom pairing/depth defenseman

Kozlov would have to WANT to go to the leafs because he has a NTC or a NMC first of all.
Atlanta says no anyways, we dont need another depth dman and blake is a SIGNIFICANT downgrade from kozlov.

That pretty much sums up the situation the Leafs are in. Guys are either obviously overpaid (Blake's 5 mill to Kozlov's 3.666 mill) or have underachieved enough to make people believe that they were overpaid for their past achievements.

Overpaid for past achievements, that story seems to becoming more of a common theme now than before the last strike. Retards. I always said Blake wasn't worth a buck over 3 mill a season. Then the Leafs sign him for 5. With 2 more million in space they could've put that space to good use in past seasons. Or they could've signed Smyth for a little more so that they could at least have an excuse. "He worked himself so hard that he's knocked himself out for 20 games again."

Blake is making 20 million over 5 years, his cap hit is 4 million a year.

From a Toronto standpoint, I'd do it.
From an Atlanta standpoint, who knows. I dont really think their much into that whole "winning" game nowadays.

Blake is not invisible... he just shoots from wherever the **** he wants i was at a game and he shot from litteraly the conrner and hit the back of the net, he will shoot from anywhere hes so stupid just trade him for like a 3rd or even lower hes worthless, hes also horrible in the dressing room i have heard free up cap space

Kozlov is leading the thrashers in goals this year, I see him going nowhere unless its at the deadline for a young player or a pick

So far there are only eight players in the NHL with more goals than Slava...and Slava's play has helped make Bryan Little a top goalscorer and Todd White (of all people) a top point-getter, so no thanks.

The Kozlov-White-Little line is out of control good right now, so none of them is getting moved.
