OH right. We're talking about Schremp here, the guy who has this ridiculous amount of talent, but unfortunately still isn't talented enough to play for the Edmonton Oilers.

He would be playing for the Leafs, the reason why he's not on the Oilers is the Oilers have too many similar small-ish young players like Nilsson, Gagner, and Cogliano ahead of him.

What's with all the dump Leaf proposals? Oilers don't need more D-men nor D prospects.

A right-handed 3rd line (checking) center would be great. Somebody with 5+ years of experience. I'm sure Schremp would be traded for that.

To add further insult to injury, one guy above claimed he would be playing for the Maple Leafs. Who to date are higher in the standings and have more goals scored than the Edmonton Oilers. So maybe the Oilers could use Schremp afterall.

Personally I wouldn't give up much more than either a 3rd round pick or one of our excess defensemen.

So either Cola for Schremp or Schremp and a 5th for Newbury and a 3rd.

I would like to get him out of Edmonton though, bump Grabs up and slot Robbie as the #2 and see what he can do.

I'm not sure you follow hockey. Schremp on the Oil solves nothing. And the Oilers don't want to play MapleLaughs goal bleeding hockey.

Against the Pens... we won 35% of the faceoffs. It's a mad fight for puck possession and we're giving up prime chances all the time on lost draws. One of the goals was immediately after a faceoff loss in the D-zone... this happens almost once a game. We have a RW (Pisani) playing center on the 3rd line.

2nd round pick?? That's pretty steep IMHO.

I'd say the value is somewhere along late 3rd-early/mid 4th pick

And yet you have a natural center who's apparently an NHL player but just not on the massively deep Oilers roster. Right.

The reason Schremp isn't on the Oilers is because he wouldn't get Top 6 minutes, he wouldn't be in a position to succeed if he was asked to be a checker on the 3rd Line or a 8 minute a night energy guy on the 4th Line.

The reality is that the only way he gets a chance in Edmonton is if someone on the Top 6 gets hurt.

Shows how much you know. Schremp is a LW now and has been for the last year and so.

A bonafide NHL center is a player with excellent two-way abilities combined with good face-off and playmaking skills - unfortunately all the young Oilers center have issues (Cogs sucks on the dot, Gagner's speed is mediocre, etc.). This is a common problem tho'...

Then why even bother making a proposal sending him to the Leafs?

I doubt Oilers would trade him for a 2nd rounder , better chance on Del Zotto and Oilers throwing in their 3rd

Anisimov would give you a player that is developing into a solid 2 way center with well balanced skills.

Schremp would give the Rangers some projected offense they lost with Cherepenov

You'llbe hard pressed to find a non biased person who makes the claim the Oilers lack depth.

They have incredible depth, but lack of top end talent.

I'd love him on Boston. Undersized playmaker...Sounds familiar. Savvy could mentor him for the next 2 seasons and the he could take over as our playmaker.

Brad Marchand + 4th round pick?
