I am not entirely sure....but Purcell wasn't even drafted....so what does that say about his potential?

I think LA Kings would jump on this one... Kovalchuck is simply a fantastic marquee player

That he's a late bloomer?

Like i said......
Lombardi is not the Type of overpay Gm's

He will not trade for a Superstar and give up 3 Players...
He will wait what the free Agency brings....
The Way the Kings are going is that Players like Gaborik etc... will knock on our door and ask for playing.. like it is happening now.
If nothing important happens we will see Gaborik for free here.
So, it is not needed to trade for them.

We have a complete package, we have a smart GM, we have a Monster Team growing, we have nice weather and we have the room....

So, no value will be traded away, Lombardi keeps on rebuilding and Players are knocking our door.

That means that Lombardi only trades if a massive overpayment is coming our way

Well right now Moller is 19 and getting a regular shift on an NHL team (and doing quite well), while Purcell is 23 years old and still hasn't really translated his game to the NHL level yet....so why would the 23 year old have more potential than the 19 year old who is already better than him?

Are you trying to insinuate that Moller has already hit his peak and that Purcell is still on an upswing? Because if that is the case I cannot see how you can come to that conclusion.

No, I'm saying that Purcell's potential is a 1st/2nd line winger whereas Moller is more of a 2nd/3rd line winger.

Kovalchuck and/or Gaborik will start bringing in the crowd no question. We have not had a marquee player since Palffy but even then since he was too quiet some didn't really pay attention even though Palffy was an amazing player. But LA isn't selling out games and in fact it is getting empty. This trade makes sense and easily bring people to the games.

I would give up JJ and Sully for Kovalchuck.

Why Sully instead of Moller? Well to me the way Sully is getting treated is like de ja vu with Cammy and we all know what happened there. I like Sully a lot but he said himself he is very frustrated being demoted to a 4th line now and no PP time. So if we can sign Kovalchuck to a long term deal then heck yeah because I see Sully lookingfor other options when his time is up.

Atl will at least get a top 6 scorer (yes not a show stopped but he is a great player and only his 2nd year in the nhl) and a stud defense man who is a kid.

We have Teubert and Hickey in the works and JJ will be tough to lose, but we have back ups now.
