Carter needs to drive to the net sometimes; that was a great opportunity to do so.

Carle prevents a Biron special. Gotta love that.

Walked away for a few minutes -- now this is the way I like to return to the game!

Except that I don't think I activated Briere in my fantasy pool.

18 Shots in one period for our boys! We had about that much at the end of the last game eh?

it's something alright: tampa. i don't know if it's fully that, and while it certainly doesn't seem like it, i don't want to give the flyers too much credit yet. they've still got 40 minutes left.

did anyone else find the irony in gratton wearing 24 a little funny?

Carle looked good.

Great to have Dany back.

I like th emove of Lupul down o the 4th line, hopefully it will motivate him to get his ass in gear and be the player he was last year.

Nodl needs to look to shoot more often, too often pass first.

Like I said...got to get them through the goalie. Actually, not through him, that would be messy. Got to get the shots BY him.

Pretty good period. Carle with a solid debut so far.

Also, it's nice to have the smurf and Nodl back. The lineup just feels solid throughout (as long as Asham stays the **** away from Richards).

That Richards pass at the end of the period was a classic case of trying to do too much, wish he'd just do the safe thing there. Nice play by Carle to prevent the Marty special though.

Not to be a downer, but Alberts was pretty solid in his debut, too.

Good first period. This is a totally different team from Thursday's game. I like Carle so far and I'm glad to see Danny back and scoring like before. Biron is gonna need to make some more clutch saves for us to win though.

There was a defenseman coming in, the pass was just a bit off. There was a play to be made, just wasn't the greatest execution. I wouldn't label it as trying to do too much since he looked up and saw the defenseman coming.

carle, interestingly enough or not, on pace for 24 and a half minutes. i think he'll get up there, barring penalties...

i feel like he's going to be a player stevens really helps...i hope that's not blind support so early.
