Here I was hoping to see Berglund and Möller.. and all I get is a headache. I sincerely hope that this camera view is nothing that other broadcasters will emulate. sigh..
In theory, the rinkside view sounds cool. but it just didnt translate right when they tried it. I appreciate that whoever is in charge of the broadcast would try to do something to make the game more enjoyable for fans, but unfortuanatly it just didnt work out.
Ersberg looks very good. Even though he didn't have his best game on thursday he has the rare sense of calmness. I'm not going to go all LGK and call him a future star but I think he may have a legit chance.

It would work if the cameras were higher and/or more set back, but right now its like a guy is controlling it with a joystick or something. Where is the throw-up smiley when you need it?
I think it's all about saving money. One or two guys running the cameras robotically. Less camera men = less overhead. Cheaper cameras too. Not a good sign for hockey in LA. What happens if Fox tries the equivalent on even the Clippers? Peasants storm the Pico lot with pitchforks and torches, that's what.
They break the cardinal rule of directing by crossing "The Line" on some of the cuts. One moment you're behind the goal the next you're facing 180 degrees from that shot watching the play come at you. Ya still need the high/wide guys, what's so hard to figure there?
I was inquiring earlier this week about Ersberg but now I wanted to get your opinions on Doughty. He has 3 points in his last two games including this one. Is he coming alive offensively? Do you see him making a significant offensive contribution this season? He's supposed to be a future franchise defenseman who can make an impact imediately so I was wondering if you were seeing that from in on the ice thus far.
