Alberts

Hey PHI fans. Bruin's fan here, just wondering how Alberts has been fairing down in PHI so far. Looked up his stats, looked pretty typical for him, but a guy like Albie doesn't put up much numbers anyway and its not much of an indicator of his play.

Any transition problems with him being on a team with the guy who cheap shotted him and basically ended last season for him?

Alberts is a huge man, as you already know. He really fits in with the physical style of play here in Philly. I haven't really witnessed any blunders he might have made but he seems like a solid d-man. I'm not gonna say he's my favorite defenseman but he's pretty cool.

You haven't been watching. He's been terrible. It got to the point in a game where he was benched for Lasse Kukkonen.

To the OP, if you're a Red Sox fan, think of that as Mark Kotsay being benched for Sean Casey.

Watch the player, not the number. +/- is perhaps the single most overrated stat in...life

In my opinion he sucks slightly less than Kukkonen. Not sure what everybody here loves about Kukkonen.

I don't think anybody really loves him, we just felt he was a better option than Stevens' boys Vandermeer and Modry.

Kukkonen hasn't played enough to form any kind of solid opinion or even proper evaluation of his game by the organization let alone any of us.
