I suppose the Flyers could be interested. I'm not sold on Lehtonen though.

hum, i would love colorado to go after him, but after the season is over [which i think by then he's gone] since we are playing so horrible we might have a shot at Hedman!!

Go Go 2009 Draft!!

But before then, I can see the Avs possibly giving up:
Svatos + 1 rounder in 2010 [please god not 09..] + Clark + prospect + Budaj [a hell of a back up goalie, .. just not a starter]

somewhere around there.

I'd rather see them pick one of them and trade the other for a young skater who can play right away. The Thrashers need to expand their talent between the ages of 20-25 to build an contender on a budget.

Sitting on two #1 goalies is a waste of talent on a team that can't afford to waste any talent.

I think Colorado is the only answer that makes sense... Senators have Auld playing like a phenomenon, New Jersey has Brodeur (who will eventually recover), Oilers have 2 decent goalies. Colorado on the other hand is in big trouble in nets and I'd be really surprised if he goes anywhere but Colorado.

Flyers could be interested. Since he's never won against Philly he might as well join them

Colorado and Ottawa make sense.

I could see him packaged with Kovalchuk

They need to trade Waddell for a bag of pucks, that would be a great value.

He is an awesome goalie IMO, and I have watched him a lot since he is one of my favorite goalies in the league.. His stats may not stand out, but by watching him play, its easy to notice that he is an amazing goalie..

Svatos for Lehtonen

Both great young talent with injury problems.

Svatos has the potential to hit about 40 goals, 60 points. Lehtonen could hit 30-35 wins on a decent team. Goalie market hasn't been great in the last few years so I doubt Atlanta gets "Clark+Svatos+1st rounder+Budaj".

Do you think Svatos and a first would do it? I can't see the Avs give more than that, unless they want Clark instead of Svatos.

Kari might just be the most underrated player at HF...he's an extremely talented goalie...he got ranked like 18th or 21th in a poll that ranked the top 30 goalies in the league, some nonsense about all of Edmonton's goalies being better than Kari, he's got injuries, yes, he's got an AHL team playing in front of him...but this is a really talented goalie, potential to be top 10 in the NHL throughout most of his career...
