we don't need another center and don't have room on the wings right now. we're set at forward. if signing foppa yields a trade bringing an improved blueline, then maybe i'll get on the bandwagon but not now...
Shanny is 39 years old and his production is obviously and expectedly dropping: why are you so interested in the acquisition of a 40 year old?
And Forsberg? Well, his feet have the make-up of tapioca pudding.
Shanny put up 23 goals and 46 pts last year in 73 games, I think he's still very good. Is he the 100+ pt player he was when he was 24? No, but he still would fit in very nicely if we move Hartnell or Lupul for a good D.
DENVER POST: Adrian Dater reports a Swedish source claiming former Colorado Avalanche forward Peter Forsberg has had yet another operation on his troublesome foot.
SPECTOR'S NOTE: Dater also asks a good question: just how many operations can Forsberg have on that foot before it's just no use anymore? I can understand Forsberg's desire to try to keep playing but at some point he has to face the reality that his battered body, specifically his surgically repaired foot, just can't take the punishment anymore.
