if it is, i'm not laughing...

we don't need another center and don't have room on the wings right now. we're set at forward. if signing foppa yields a trade bringing an improved blueline, then maybe i'll get on the bandwagon but not now...

hell, why not bring keith jones back. he just turned 40.

forsberg... could probably still play at a decent level in this league but is not worth all the drama surrounding him.

I'm sure if you asked him, he'll say he's too out of shape. We could always bring back Therien as a stop-gap until our D is healthy.

You're right. We should bring back Howe and McCrimmon.

Desjardins is still in his 30s, bring back him and Therien.

And call up Ed Van Impe, see if he's interested

In fact, bring Lindros out of retirement, and give Leclair a contract.

Let's make it happen!
Dont forget Renberg!!!!

Well, everyone seems to think Briere should be a wing anyway

Hartnell Richards Briere
Gagne Forsberg Knuble
Upshall Carter Lupul

The last thing we need is to get all excited about signing Foppa, having him play fantastic for 20 games, building great chemistry, and then having him get hurt and tear the team apart.

However, I am for signing Shanahan, but I hope that would only be if we traded an expendable winger for a D.

Shanny is 39 years old and his production is obviously and expectedly dropping: why are you so interested in the acquisition of a 40 year old?

And Forsberg? Well, his feet have the make-up of tapioca pudding.

I got it. Someone make a cybernetic foot/leg for Peter. Just cut off his crappy foot and fuse on some bionic man type ****.

Stronger, Faster, Less injury prone.

Peter Forsbot.

Shanny put up 23 goals and 46 pts last year in 73 games, I think he's still very good. Is he the 100+ pt player he was when he was 24? No, but he still would fit in very nicely if we move Hartnell or Lupul for a good D.

We could also put in Desjardins on the blue line again, get that missing right shot we need if his arm doesn't fall off first.

DENVER POST: Adrian Dater reports a Swedish source claiming former Colorado Avalanche forward Peter Forsberg has had yet another operation on his troublesome foot.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: Dater also asks a good question: just how many operations can Forsberg have on that foot before it's just no use anymore? I can understand Forsberg's desire to try to keep playing but at some point he has to face the reality that his battered body, specifically his surgically repaired foot, just can't take the punishment anymore.

The Swedish media isn't reporting this so I wonder where Dater got his info.

I think lines of

Lindros/Forsberg/Renberg
Leclair/Brind'amour/Recchi
Handzus/Gratton/Zubrus
Kordic/Daniels/Lacroix

THAT would be the shiat!

Bring back the DAN LINE!
