Good to see Phaneuf back.

Now here's hoping this team realizes they're allowed to screen the opposing goalie.

I cannot imagine how our PP is ranked in the top 10 playing this way. Seriously this dump and chase won't work ESPECIALLY when none of our players are chasing.

I am not impressed. Thank god Dion is ok tho. It almost looked like the Hawks player was trying to spear him in the head. IMO that should have been a Game Misconduct for having his sick high enough up to get caught in Phaneuf's helmet.

2-0 Hawks.

Kiprusoff was screened and got scored on. Take notes, Flames.

Seriously. It is so frustrating watching 4 players standing around watching the puck.

Another dissapointing period. Flu or not this is unacceptable. Someone has to get this team going and soon. PP continues to be an absolute joke.

Really, No chance for Kipper on that one.

That last goal hurt and last I checked there was still two periods, the game isn't over yet.

Oh yes there is LOTS of hockey left in this game, but one has to wonder if the Flames are going to show up. Certainly the first period has not been good for the Flames all season, but come on Hyde, even you have to be getting a little upset with the pathetic efforts the Boys in Red have put forth in, oh say, 90% of the first periods.

The Flames were without Phaneuf for a majority of the period though and Iginla has been basically invisible (is he even playing?)... Flames still have a chance, especially against my bad goalie, Huet.

I have to wonder what game everyone was/is watching? Were the Flames perfect....no, they came out flat but as that period wore on they were looking better. Special Teams are hurting right now, but we all should know that sooner or later the PP is going to look great again.

I still think the Flames are in this one, unlike last game you could tell that we were gonna lose after it was 2-1.

Of course I get upset Lanny, but the rest of you put my feelings to shame. Maybe I am just not that overcritical?

You're right, Hyde. Flames are still in this, and it's far from over.

LOL Nah, you are simply more positive than I am. I still remember the 90's all to clearly, and it's hard not to feel crappy about the way the Flames have played in the last couple games.

I suppose I expect so much better out of this team because they've shown us how good they *CAN* be when they actually show up as a team. If I seem over critical that would be why.

Bourque is impressing me tonight. He's been everywhere.

And Kipper looks really good too.

Kiprusoff is playing well. Some huge saves from him already in this game.

Guess Kipper enjoyed his break (minus the Flames loss of course).
