Bobby Ryan perhaps?

I brought up the possibility a couple of posts ago. I wouldn't be surprised at all if something went down in the next 48 hours.

Let's not turn this into an Eklund thread.

Back on topic, I'm hoping to see Korpi on the wing. Let's see how he meshes with Drury and I'm assuming Dawes.

But as a few people said, I really think Sjo should get a shot at a higher line at some point. He earned it (although it's hard to breakup such a consistently solid line - at their roles - that the fourth line is).

Prucha traded for Ovechkin as per Eklund.

Fritche and Prucha are both young guys looking for a spot. We can get away from sitting one, but not both. Calling up Korpedo means either both guys are sitting in the press box or at least 1 is being shipped. I'm not going to say a trade is definitely coming but it is odd to have called him up right now.

With 4 goals and 2 assists in 4 games he really should be here. He has proven in pre-season and the first few games he belongs here. His stint in the AHL only solidifies it.

Rissmiller isnt goign to get traded. The guy went through waivers and no one picked him up.

Prucha is going for maybe a 3rd round pick.

I wouldn't read that much into it to be honest (though I wouldn't mind if we were able to clear out Prucha to make room for Bobby Ryan). In Immonen's case, it was clear the coaching staff wasn't fond of him so they may not have recalled him for that reason. In the other few cases, there was usually someone producing in the spot that was vacated when Dubie/Cally/Dawes were sent down. In this case, Prucha/Fritsche is not producing so they may want to give Korps another shot. I don't watch Hartford, but you might know the answer to this: was he playing on the wing while with the Wolf Pack? Maybe it was a short-term assignment just to get him reacclimated to the wing while Drury moved back to center?

well hopefully the rangers have something up their sleeve because to sit two of fritsche/prucha/dawes then they need to trade them because it isnt helping anyone...

I know this is a bit obscure and kind of not reasonable but isn't it a rule that you have to call up a player before you trade him? Is it at all possible that they are trading Korpikoski? Once again, I wouldn't bet on it at all, but is there any chance at all?

its possible, especially if its a trade for a player like bobby ryan but i wouldnt expect to see him moved as his defensive awareness, size and strength make him a valuable commodity

I don't see that happening at all. The kid knows our system and he can score. He isn't goign anywhere.

Ryan would be nice but doesnt really make sense since he has a high contract

but with that I would take him for Dawes...........but I do like Dawes .........not one of those that thinks he should sit

but the rangers could fit him under the cap.....no problem.....rissmiller and prucha would be gone because there would be no spots and one of dawes/fritsche/korpikoski would either be sent down or traded.....they would have plenty of room to have him play immediately

He split his games in Hartford between wing and center. He spent two games on Anisimov's wing, and two games at center, last night between Moore and Owens and his first game at center between Byers and Parenteau.
