Yup Boyd for Green Hardhat indeed.

I won't bother saying anything negative, but will instead point out that Boyd and Moss are awesome, and the PK is still my favorite thing on the Flames team right now.

Well, the score says it all in this one. A game I thought the Flames were never in from the first minute. I'm glad I was able to watch it online (thanks, SeanAvery1616) and didn't actually pay for the PPV.

The Blackhawks are a great team to watch.

tonights game is exactly why boyd deserves to be given a longer look on the first line. no idea how conroy holds so much stock with keenan. he and a couple others are in desperate need of a wake up call, and an extended one at that.

Appreciate the props. Been a long time Hawks fan since I was really young in Chicago... then got to follow them briefly in Finland when Ruutu was on the team. Now I live in Chicago so I can REALLY watch them Flames were subject to a 5 day rest from the Hawks and they just played last night. Don't get me started on NHL scheduling

Of course he has room for improvement, he's 23, but that doesn't mean he's incompetent defensively. He's been pretty good this season. And you can't single just Phaneuf out when the entire team has been playing pretty bad as of late.

With the way they are playing and how he have showed up the last two games I can't say I'm looking forward to the game.

Yep time for Conroy to move down the lineup. Just not working and Boyd has been great this season. Lets atleast give him a full game or two to see what he can do. He is a skilled guy and deserves a chance with the season he has had so far.

Speaking of which anyone know what is up with Lombardi? It would be nice to have his speed in the lineup and get someone different in the top 6. I really hate how teams don't have to disclose injuries. Must be a lot more serious then just day to day.

And what Flames fans were saying this? It's foolish to say any player is perfect, and it's equally foolish for believing anyone who says a player is perfect.

The Flames skated with several flu-stricken players in their third game in four nights. Kiprusoff made several close-in saves and twice was beaten by shots that hit the post.

"We have some guys with the flu, but we don't want to use that as an excuse," Calgary coach Mike Keenan said.

Why do morons make excuses and add that they aren't making excuses?

Everything about this team is embarrassing right now.

The decision to play sick players instead of calling up some healthy ones for mvp.

The team's lack of cap and roster space are the reasons why the team couldn't call guys up.

The team was spanked last night. The defense, in particular, looked slow and just watched the Hawks buzz around the offensive end most of the night. The Flames also had no answer for Chicago's transition game. The PP was laughable.

I do not think anyone said that.

As for the game is it still a possibility that a trade or a firing might happen if they do not improve? I can sure say though that this hot and cold thing we have been doing the last two years is starting to get on my nerves.

Your right, although the reason must be that Chicago is REALLY far away from Quad Cities.

When Lombo does come back, I really, really hope Conroy gets scratched. I don't want to hurt the chemistry of the bottom six lines (and that includes Boyd staying with GlenX/Moss). With Conroy out and Lombardi in, our top 6 will look like:

Bertuzzi-Lombardi-Iginla
Cammy-Langkow-Bourque

...or some other variation.

I'd love to hear something, anything, about Lombardi's injury.

That bothers me too...similar to "no offense but..." or "I don't want to sound racist but..."
