5 million is 2-4 mil under franchise player. They both have more points than any LA King so far this year, and are both top-30 in the NHL in scoring post-lockout.... But they're 2nd liners?

Do second liners regularily score at a ppg clip?

Your English skills need work, I might add.

You must be joking. That cheap? Where was this reported/speculated?
The Sedins locked up for a combined 9-10 million is superb.

Just as long as don't get Kopitar. He's Slovenian so he'll never be that good.

Wow, I don't think I have seen a proposal that makes less sense than this one for either team.

We're just bad trading partners, is the thing. Neither really feels like bending over for the other. "Whoa differences."

The Sedin's are asking a lot more than 9-10 mil, closer to 15 mil.

No thank you from Vancouver. IMO the two best players are going to L.A. Only name that interests me is O'sullivan.

Does it really matter if the draft is offense heavy or defense heavy? The only thing I care about is that the team uses its pick to draft the best player still available. If in next year's draft that is a defenseman then so be it.

Emphasis on junk yard dog. How many defensemen like that are in the NHL? Tons. We have a few on the team too: O'Brien and Davison, not to mention the fact that Rahimi is probably just as nasty as Teubert and Ellington is a defensive defenseman as well. Sauve will probably turn out like that too.

He can't replace Bourdon because Bourdon didn't play like that. Bourdon was gifted offensively and was a great puck mover. His play was solid positioning with a little physicality. Teubert is nowhere near what Bourdon was like. A better comparison for Bourdon would be Pietrangelo or Doughty (not to say that he was as good as they were, but style-wise he was more like them).

It's clear that our defense is the source of all of our offense. We already have a good mix of offense and defense back there, but in the pipeline, all we have is defense. It's time to put some offense in there.

um... in your imaginary land where the Sedin's are asking for 7.5 mil each are they also scoring 90-100 points. There is no proof they've asked for this much.

The two best Vancouver players doesn't mean the best Player on another Team.
You guys doesn't have any Player of interest, except Luongo.
And you wouldn't do the Trade.
You could pack the other Players as a package and i would say no.
O Sully is going nowhere

My bad. I knew I was missing someone but couldn't think of who.

Demitra - O'Sullivan - Bernier
Raymond - Stoll - Wellwood
Burrows - Kesler - Hansen
Pyatt - Rypien - Ouellet/Hordichuk

The following season:

Raymond- O'Sullivan - Demitra
Grabner - Hodgson - Hansen
Burrows - Kesler - Wellwood
Pyatt - Stoll - Bernier
Hordichuk/Ouellet

How many SKILLED junk yard dog defensemen in the league? Very few rather than tons. Bieksa is one. Pronger. A few others. Is Teubert as skilled as Pronger? No, but I'd say he will give Bieksa a run for the money. O'Brien is tough, but has the upside of a #5 D max. Teubert has the upside of a #2 or #3 D minimum similar to Bieksa.

What I meant is that Bourdon left a gap in our defense core of a young, developing & highly skilled player. Those with the ability to eventually replace and inherit the roles that Ohlund, Salo & Mitchell now fill. Though Teubert doesn't play a similar style that Bourdon played, Teubert is still an above average player. Doughty is a much more skilled and similar in style player to Bourdon, but I'm trying to be realistic. LA will not trade Doughty, Kopitar or Brown any more then we would consider trading Luogo, Kesler, Burrows or Hodgson. Personally I thought of including Moller instead of Stoll, but figured LA would not be willing to trade two of their top younger players.

Sauve will likely not be NHL ready for at least 2 years. When he is & if we got Teubert, we would have a new core with two LD's in Edler & Sauve & two RD's in Bieksa & Teubert. That would be a pretty solid defense for years to come even after Ohlund, Salo & Mitchell are gone.

That is a lie. The Sedins, at 7.5 million apiece? More than fellow countryman Nick Lidstrom? I'd venture a guess that they'll agree to something along the lines of what Alfredsson got.

True. But it still means the best players on YOUR team, right now, nevermind what many of your youngins might eventually blossom into. The twins have struggled mightily so far on our "offensively challenged" squad, and are still outscoring every LA King.

But nevermind, because this proposal is completely absurd and doesn't really do anything for either team.

Do you think before you type? Obviouslly not.

Let's see.... Vancouver has played 15 games and the Kings have played 13 games.

H. Sedin - 14pts in 15 games
D. Sedin - 12pts in 15 games.

So let's wait till the Kings play 15 games and see where we are at before you shoot your mouth off without thinking first ok? Kopitar is only 1 pt behind D. Sedin and Brown is 2 pts behind him. So 2 more games for us and we will have 15 then we will compare the 14 and 12 pts to the Kings pts.

Oh and to add to your "struggling" comment. Kopitar and Brown have been struggling as well and I would take Kopitar and Brown over the Sedins any day of the week and even on Leap Year.
