Me too. The habs speed seems to be able to draw TT out of position (laterally) quite easily.

Koci isn't on Chicago any more, he's on St Louis, so those hoping for a rematch will have to wait because I think we play the Blues twice.

Read up on some game notes... some fun facts...

Fernandez has 2 shutouts against Chicago.

Boston's last overtime win over the Blackhawks came with a 2-1 victory in Chicago on Feb. 4, 1934 as Aubrey "Dit" Clapper scored the winning goal for the Bruins.

The latest from Chicago...
Tim Thomas was the first goaltender off the ice for Boston, which should indicate that he is the man in goal, tonight. Morning skate was optional for P.J. Axelsson and Marco Sturm and they were the only Bruins missing from the warmup.

Hmmm... Interesting. Opting for Manny at home against the Habs potentially.

Heres hoping Timmy picks up where he left off.

And I remember that game vividly. Or maybe GW does.

Agreed. TT vs Habs scares me because of this - I'd rather see him tonight, and see MF and his better positioning tomorrow. And let's face it - Thomas' track record against those clowns has not been good...

You'd rather see MFMF vs Montreal? I would disagree...you never know what to expect from Manny

I think with MFMF it's a confidence thing, and nothing will boost a player's confidence like his sterling start against Buffalo.

Nothing will kill it more than being shelled by Montreal...either way you look at it, we are playing 2 very good teams back-to-back

I agree completely, this will be our toughest two game stretch to date. If nothing else it will give a good evaluation of our goaltending situation.

I would have rather seen MFMF start tonight and Timmy tomorrow, but there is no way we can play TT back to back against teams this talented. He's going to be on his head all night tonight.

I disagree. If Thomas plays lights out tonight, then it'll be hard for Julien to justify NOT coming back with him tomorrow night as well. It worked in the Vancover/Edmonton games, so the precedent is already there. We'll see how it plays out tomorrow.

I would have preferred to see Fernandez tonight and Thomas tomorrow night, but maybe, just maybe, Julien will flip it around so that the Habs get a taste of Fernandez tomorrow night.

Then again we were playing Vancouver/Edmonton. Chicago and Montreal are much more offensive teams, and there really is no comparison in play style.

I would much rather secure a chance at winning tomorrow than tonight, granted stealing both would be better.

Montreal is certainly a more offensive team in more ways than one.

Getting both wins and keeping the momentum just where it is would definitely be the way to go. If Manny plays either game, I'll probably have to turn off the game and not watch any of it, since he did so well when I missed the whole game.

I'd like them to throw something different at Montreal as well.

That would be a very good test for Manny as well, as you can be sure the offensive chances and defensive lapses will be there for that game.
