KINGS v. stars: 11/11 Post Game THOUGHTS & shhhhhhh TIDBITS

KINGS: Three
Stars: Two
Ribeiro: Black
Robidas: Blue

OH!

That wasn't a game. That was a workout. I am exhausted.

ERSBERG: The next mother ****er that utters Jason's name in the same breath as Ersberg will receive an enema. Different class of goaltenders. I am not ready to crown Ersberg as the savior yet. That requires a full season, but he is a playing like a stud. He is my number 1 star tonight....and that save on Modano...wow kid, I am in love...

THE LOBBYISTS: Yeah, you mother****ers. The ones wearing zebra outfits. Whatever the Stars organ-eye-zation is paying you, we'll double it. ****ers.

STOLL: Lather. Rinse. Repeat. We want more Jared...more, more, more of the same.

BROWNIE: My new nickname for Brownie is "187". Brown kills.

Ribeiro: shhhhh...we won...

DOUGHTY: He is not 18. This is ********. He is lying. No way an 18 year old rookie defenseman is that smart. What is this kid's upside? Lidstrom?

KOPITAR: Good game. Well rounded game. I still want goals though.

COACH: I lost 4 pounds tonight and 2 of them were him rolling 4 lines during the last few minutes of the game. Seriously, I saw Boyle out there I think with 1:45 and my heart skipped.

Oh, wait...is that 3 in a row?

I only got to see the 3rd period on....but what I did see was awesome.....except that boarding penalty....I call BS on that one....and I think Kopitar needs to work on some break away moves....that was very uninspiring in the shootout. The Kings beat Dallas! That is all I ask....even though it sucked that they got a loser point....because they are losers.

Nice assist on the Lehtinen goal...

But then great work on that long penalty kill.

Its nice to see the team winning some games early in the season. Despite leading in the first few periods, there were lots of mistakes made by the Kings, but they kept working, and progressively got stronger.

Ersberg has earned some more play! Good for him on the shootout. He is just so calm-it just instill confidence in him.

Beautiful PK especially at the end, including the netminder!

Awesome for Simmonds to get his first shoot out goal. I thought he was working hard out there today.

Brown was definitely on his game tonight.

Nice to see Doughty with the first star. What a kid.

I do have to give him that one....I expected Kopitar to pull something like that out of his bag of tricks.....but he didn't even try to deke.....it was pretty disappointing.

Brown showed why he is captain material tonight.

I hate Riberio.

Doughty is flat out special. Forget about the rest of this year's class, this kid is a Norris Trophy winner in the making. He and Johnson are going to help this team to the next level.

Kopitar is better. So is O'Sullivan. This time next year we had better be talking about when Frolov is going to get his extension signed.

Simmonds making that move in the SO will help his confidence going forward. When he puts on weight, he will be a Jordan Staal type of player for LA.

Stoll shoots the puck harder than 95% of the guys in the league. Plus, he made some GREAT defensively plays tonight.

Ersberg is the #1 goalie on this team. IF Labs thinks he should be, come take it from Ersberg.

Awesome, gritty win tonight. Amazing to see in person, and the Kings are back at .500 again!

Nice job!

(The site rules prevent me from having a sexy party thread here, but trust me - I'm celebrating!!)

The Iceberg came. The Iceberg saw. The Iceberg conquered.

Also, Greene played a stellar game aside from a couple of lame moves at the end of very long shifts. He is such a warrior and made some very critical and well timed shot blocks.

In fact, I loved that despite having intense pressure put on them in their own zone, the Kings never really scrambled, and either Greene or someone came up with a huge block and a clear or the Iceberg gobbled up a shot, square to the shooter after a quick pass. Great to see.

Ivanans needs to sit a game or two. Think his role over and whether or not he is willing to actually fulfill that role any time soon.

I've been calling for Simmonds to go down to the AHL for a few weeks now, but tonight he earned some more games in my book, though I still think he needs to see some AHL action this season. Also (and not totally his fault) his line was pretty bad tonight for the most part, even though he was hustling... really Ivanans dragged them down, he should not be on the shut-down checking line.

What's up with O'Sullivan? Does he know how to pass? Does he just refuse to pass to Harrold? He played well on the PK, but is wasting so much energy at times and making stupid decisions down lown and around the circles. Someone please tell me assists are just as important as goals. I felt bad/was assumed by his Zeiler move in the 1st(?) period.

Boyle is using his size! Boyle is using his size! He looks like someone who is 6'7"! Boyle is using his size!

Brownie, our captain my captain. We shall follow you till the end.

I'm torn about Gauthier. Preissing was solid.

Frolov rules. I repeat, he rules and he rules bigtime.

Doughty... my man crush is growing and could be true love.

So glad I was able to go to that game. What a fun time.

I laughed my ass off at Robidas shooshing after he scored. What a punk. Probably wouldn't have done it after face planting into the boards on Brown's hit. Nice goal though. Speaking of Brown, that was one hell of a game from him. That hit on Robidas is gonna make a lot of highlight reels. I was kind of disappointed to see Avery and Ott so quiet, but we won so who cares. Kings just need to keep riding the Iceberg on waves of blood from Brown's hits.
