Great idea Sensational... I'll also have to go with Stamkos just because of all the hype and the talent I saw from him playing for Sarnia... I think he'll pick it up mid-season so my vote goes to him!
Stamkos even though he's my player. I'm worried Tampa might be ruining him but he's still #1 right now.
i wouldn't go that far...just cause he hasn't lit it up yet, doesn't tell the whole story. he has played awesome defensively. I'm expecting him to be like a Mike Modano type player.

You're right. Ruining is the wrong word. Not providing the best atmosphere for him to reach his fullest potential is a better way of putting it. Hopefully, his character will overcome the train wreck that I see in the Tampa Bay organization's future.

I agree that turfing Melrose is good news for Tampa but we'll see if this gets them back on track. I think there is more wrong there than the coaching. Basically, I just don't have any confidence in the current management/ownership team.
My vote is Doughty bc i believe its harder to come by a offensive defencman who looks so rekaxed in the NHL at such a young age he will surpass 40 points this year...
