Keep it civilized, guys!

P.S.: No poll for obvious reasons!

EDIT: Due to popular demand, I've added a Poll (Hyde not Snoil, he would not grant you one as he doesn't trust you).

Not gonna say much except that McE would be my MVP choice, if we were in a state to choose one...

I would have added a Poll...coward. (and so I did, sometimes one just has to take the upper hand)

I think that it is a really a Good time for some off days......they need refocus/regroup. Hey 64 more games to go, these last few game have hardly killed my optimistism.

Well that was embarassing, but I can't say I'm shocked at the end result. It was men against boys out there tonight. This team doesn't have a consistant enough work ethic to compete with top teams like San Jose. I know some people will say it's still early in the season, but I don't see that as a valid excuse.

^ Some people? I'm the only one. I know that I come across as a "pollyanna" but that is just me when it comes to the Flames, always have been even during the 90's. Only way I can keep sane.

EDIT: My bad SR, you said some I wrote most....sorry, I corrected my mistake.

To be honest, I think your optimism is nice to have around here, especially after a loss like tonight's. At times I wish I had your attitude towards these situations, because it would certainly make it less frustrating as a fan. So I definitely respect and admire the fact that you're constantly looking on the bright side of things. For me, however, I get frustrated as hell seeing this team play like they did tonight, because I believe they're better than that.

Pretty tough to look on the bright side after a game like that. San Jose was going to be a tough test, but there is no excuse to be outworked and outplayed like they were tonight. Last two road games they have lost 6-1 and are simply giving up to many chances and goals.

I've been a Keenan supporter, but right now something needs to change with this team. Same mistakes and same issues for the last 3 years now. Whether it is canning Keenan or simply making a trade. They are a better team then they have shown.

Thanks SR.

I agree though this team is frustrating they have been frustrating for what seems to be forever....maybe that is why for the most part I just look for the good. See one can always find the bad stuff that is easy (and really with any team, not just the Flames). Personally, I find it rather fun to look for the good....much more of a challenge.

Lol, define popular demand. I can see 3 posts that would indicate people wanted a pole. You just wanted to assert your power

I love the second option but McE deserves some credit.

And that's why I never order PPV.

After the 5th goal, I was laughing the rest of the night trying to keep my sanity. Sometimes you just get manhandled by a better team. Now I care about how they're going to respond next game. Hopefully the four day break gets a few guys healtheir and Lombardi back in the line-up.

And thankfully Edmonton got beaten by the Leafs, so the day ended up alright.

On the bright side no one got hurt right?

Sad game by the Flames and got completly owned by a superior team.

We all have questions about this team, and now I think it is time to have some of them answered.

I'm glad I didn't stay up to watch this debacle. Hopefully the team can find some consistency as oppose to the up-and-down play of late.

We all know, and I mean *KNOW* this team is better than this. No excuses. They can, and have shown just how elite a team they actually are and a game like last nights is so completely frustrating, I can't even begin to put into words how it makes me feel.

I have no idea what this team needs to get it into a consistent gear, but by god they had better figure it out, and soon at that.

simple answer to last nights game:

To Ottawa: Aucoin, Kipper
To Calgary: Khabby, Barker
To Chicago: Ottawa's 1st, Fisher

....or we can just forget about it and write it off as the flu.

I do love my power, and it is my opinion we should always have a Poll good games or bad. Which is why I gave the people the second choice which is winning.

The worst hockey game I have been to...

I was so exited my homeboys were in town and I got to the rink all fired up and ready for a good battle... But nothing.

It was embarrasing to be there as a Flames fan and after the 1st period I was barely even paying attention to the game. This team needs a wake up call of some sort. I though Id never say this but... trade Kipper, we could get some good assets in return. And its not that Im blaming all on Kipper, but out of the big 3 he would make the most sense. Trade him while we can still get something seriously good for him.

Worst defense in the league. =\

I wonder how Tavares would look in a Flames jersey?
