I see that Anderson is starting and has been regularly. His numbers look strong. What's the deal in Florida? Does Anderson have a chance at claiming this starting gig or is it merely a fill in until Vokoun in 100%

DeBoer likes to start the hot goalie--who, at the moment, appears to be Anderson. But I'd expect Vokoun to be back in net after this match.

I hope we get to a regulation tie. Or at least avoid a blowout.

Ahhh, such are the dreams of the Panthers fans.

Panthers on the money-line tonight. Good value with Det. coming off the back to back Florida night trip.

It's not Melrose fault, the new owners they went out a spent big money on unproven players like Jokinen, Vrbata, and Malone. They also didn't bring in any defensive help for an already lacking blue-line.

They're talking up David Booth on the Detroit broadcast.

This is his first game as a Panther in hometown Detroit.

They're looking pretty good so far. Some missed chances, but if they keep on pressing, the goals should come.

It seems DeBoer is injecting some heart into Horton's game ... or maybe Horton is just maturing. Who knows. Regardless, if Horton continues to play this way, he can stay with us as long as he likes--assuming he wants to stay for a while.

But I think it was only allowed because it was initially called a goal (on the ice). I think if the ref initially said "no goal", the video review would stand because there wasn't any conclusive evidence.
